Hotel Casa de las Rosas

The property is outdated and not safe around the area. Not clean and no privacy.

Very average basic property with thin walls so could hear lots of noise especially in the morning. Not the cleanest either.

Staff are helpful booking taxi for us and also doing our laundry for $10.

Breakfast also basic, with bread, some fruit and eggs.

It is far from most things, we had to take a cab regularly. Decent Artisanal market close by.

The staff is friendly and helpful , the place needs updating but not bad for the price

Our stay at La Casa de las Rosas was simply wonderful. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel truly welcome with their kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail.

The hotel is spotlessly clean, the rooms are beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable, and every corner of the place feels warm and inviting. You can tell there's a lot of care behind everything they do.

We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Cuenca. A peaceful, charming experience that we’d love to repeat. Thank you for making our stay so special!

the price was good , not many options in entertainment

There is a partnership between Expedia and the Casa de las Rosas Hotel to steal people's money.

We stayed in the Azul room with balcony, which was nice. Although we could hear people in the hallway and going up the stairs, we didn’t hear anyone else when they were in their rooms, not even the family with a baby.
Breakfast was simple and a nice way to start the day.
One problem with our room was a broken latch on the balcony door, so we heard street noise all night.
My only other criticism was the $15 charge for pickup from the airport, which is less than 5 minutes from the hostal. We also had to leave at 6am, and the receptionist said she arranged a taxi to pick us up, but after waiting until 6:10, we finally walked to the corner and hailed our own taxi. Overall, not a bad place to stay.

I had to ask for towels, shampoo etc.. almost everyday. I had to ask them to clean my room. I had waited 3 days. They had 24 hour service, however I had to wait nearly an hour to enter my room, bc they were sleeping and didn't hear the phone calls and banging on the door. 3 stars, I know may be too much. but they were apologetic and cordial

Great rooms for the price!

Didn't take cretit cards, not the best neighborhood, and the place was noisy at 6:15am, couldn't sleep after that. The room was fine.

My experience was wonderful, excellent for tourists, I recommend it for everyone, it’s better than they offering at Expedia website!

We recommend this hostel over any others in Cuenca! It is ALL because of the AMAZING staff they have working here!

Since it was winter the cold shower were a bit cold. Go solar!

I made a reservation here and everything was confirmed. When I arrived, they claimed that they had no more rooms left. The woman I spoke to was extremely rude and unfriendly, and the only "compensation" they offered was to try to send me to another hotel they owned that was twice the price. Don't risk booking here--you will be left scrambling to find another place to stay last minute!

No hot water was available in the bathroom for showers.
