Good location for us
Room was a little bit tired but I would say OK
for just the one night
The olde world feel
The room was very nice and the price was exceptional.
The breakfast provided was not at all inclusive, no gluten free options. The staff working were lovely, however the venue was very understaffed so no one was available to check in.
The location was amazing
The furniture in the room was very outdated. There was stains on the dressing table, chairs and carpet
Decent breakfast. Large rooms. Clean.
Beds not great. Communal areas need some updating. Took a while to get hot water in the shower.

Bathroom radiator was disconnected which made the room very cold
They turn off the heating at 9:00 PM and turn it back on at 7:30 AM until 9:00 AM. Then they turn it off again.
We were there for two nights, and slept in our clothes both nights. The hot water doesn't work with the heating either.
Nice , old building and location
Spacious room (three bedrooms), nice and clean shower with two toilets. Towers, toiletries, kettles, tea and coffee . Full English breakfast buffet is also great. There’s a small bar that serves dinner including Indian dish. The location is also great.
Heating only comes in the evening. There are two TVs in the room but only one works. We told the staff but they said they can’t fix it. They asked extra £50 for my 6yrs old although we already booked a three bedroom room. Most of the time, there is no staff at the front desk to ask something.

Location is great for Snowdonia excellent breakfast plenty of parking.
I booked a single room which was great but I really struggled with the shower it was tiny and had no water pressure at all.
Really lovely hotel. Such good value for money. Staff were great. Helpful and professional. Food was lovely especially breakfast. Would definitely visit again but on a lower floor.
No lift and we should have requested a more accessible room. We were in 2nd floor which meant a lot of stairs. I did ask to swap to 1st floor but they were fully booked. Our fault entirely as I'm sure they would have accommodated us had we asked beforehand.
Not the hotel's fault but no taxi service available after 2pm. We were visiting family about 15 mins away and would have liked a drink but unable to get back. Maybe the hotel could arrange it's own taxi firm 🤷😍
The room was comfortable and the breakfast was good. The reason for our visit was a family wedding around 10 minutes away. On the day of the wedding we could not get a taxi or Uber so a member of the hotel staff drove us to the venue which was really nice of him.
Beautiful location by the river.
Food was amazing. Breakfast was delicious and the curries.. wow! Hats off to the chef.

Shower either had great pressure but scalding hot, or just a trickle and a comfortable temperature.
Rooms were big spacious. Like the classic design from the original building
Some of the decor didn’t fit with the aesthetic of the hotel. Beautiful building could really be nice with some investment. Some electrics didn’t work like mirror lighting and down lights in the ceiling. Taps had no pressure and flowed water over the sides of the basin.
