I had room 22, nice and comfortable. Sofa, shower, TV and nice view. Great breakfast.
cobwebs and insects on the inside of the window frames
The property was central in the town. The Welsh breakfast was really good and the prices in the bar were good.
The property was really tired in all areas and basically needs new carpets throughout all communal areas. The rooms are also really tired and in some areas quite dirty especially floors in the bathroom. In fairness we were upgraded by the very friendly and accommodating member of staff that seems to do absolutely everything single handed in terms of reception and breakfast service. Even in the replacement room many of the handles on cupboards and draws were broken and the furniture had marks everywhere. The bedding was clean but stained. The bathroom had a huge water stain from the next floor above the sink and the toilet. The 4 poster bed looked to have stains all over it and needed to be scrubbed to get all the stains off to bring it back to cream or white. There was areas in corners of the bathroom that were not touched and a build up of dirt were in most corners.
Easy to park. Very good breakfast and very attentive staff.
Nothing of any importance
Hotel was perfect, they allow my dogs and that make us happy.
The rooms was perfect out of the noisy and very clean.
Location was amazing!
Nothing
staff were good. Service good
Room was very dated. Toilet seat loose; shower was cold, and very small & tight
Great value for money, really nice breakfast, location is great, view from breakfast room is lovely, free parking, staff great, plenty toiletries and towels.
Rooms could do with better attention to detail cleaning, there were several cobwebs around the room. Double mattress very firm but overall fine and for t
he price cant overly complain
The Eagles is an atmospheric, rambling Victorian hotel set right on the river Conwy and ideally situated for the surrounding Gwydir Forest and nearby lakes. Although the carpets in the public areas are tired our spacious second floor room was newly refurbished with a lovely clean shower room, plenty of towels and shampoo/conditioner/shower gel supplied and a well stocked hospitality tray . The TV signal and Wifi was good too. The room was warm and the beds were very comfortable. Our dog was made very welcome in all areas of the hotel and there was outside space for her late night and early morning comfort breaks with views across the river for us. The cooked breakfast was very good with basic buffet cereals and toast also available in the large restaurant. We spent a lovely evening in the public bar too. The evening meal we had was standard pub food but very tasty. Unusually there was more than one vegetarian option! We felt the Eagles offered very good value for money and we will certainly return when next in the area.
The hot water in our room was lukewarm during our stay.
Unexpected delight. easy parking, nice beer, A cosy room and so quiet.
Brekfast ran very smoothly and peaceful. Great spot for reaching the Eryri mountain range.
Hikers Delight
Friendly staff warm rooms, good food 👌
The room was clean and comfortable .
Staff and service provided is excellent and we found them extremely helpful .
Very good breakfast
For what we paid I think its definitely value for money
The property is a bit tired but it’s warm and welcoming
Location and breakfast also size of room.
Bed wasn't very comfortable.
Friendly staff, warm rooms as we got wet and lovely breakfast
Very good breakfast on the first night as it was buffet but on the second night it was table service and smaller portions.
Bedrooms were odd shaped, rickety hallways meant you could hear everyone passing by outside.
The room was nice, clean and modern. The shower had great pressure, a big issue in most hotels, and the staff were friendly and welcoming.
For me it was good. No issues.
Excellent location. Our room was lovely and comfy - plenty of space and dog friendly. Great outside area for having a few drinks. Breakfast was great
Nothing
Spacious room and bathroom. Was offered packed lunch because I was checking out before breakfast
The plug in the sink wouldn’t work, so unable to fill sink for a wash. Shower took 10mins to bring through any hot water. Pub was noisey below my room, and people were very roudy in the car park at 10pm beeping car horns continuously. Lots of cob webs in the lighting. Room smelt a little fusty
