Just awful
Pros:

Just awful..... I'd stayed here many years ago and had found the hotel charming, if a bit funky. Suffice it to say, the charm is gone. And what was funky is now just run-down and awful. My carpet and wallpaper in my room were stained and torn. The shower flooded the entire bathroom every single time we turned it on. Breakfast was -- at best -- sub par. And the staff were largely indifferent. AVOID.

Not a 4 star hotel. 3 star price for 2 star experience
Pros:

Pros: Location, quiet, affordability (not value)
Cons: This is not a 4 star hotel or experience. It's clear that the owner chooses not to invest in upkeep.

The bedroom & bath were really shabby:
One nightstand with huge chips and missing handle, water stain on the wall behind the other
Outlet falling out of the wall
Plastic wall sconces
Dirty trap door over the closet area
Cheap pillows: Squares of fabric stuffed with cut up foam. One split open and we had to close it with a safety pin we happened to have
Huge crack (not new) in the bathroom sink
Bathtub had a 1/2 glass "shower" that leaked so much water the floor became soaked and the wood paneling on the side of the bathtub was rotting away

Breakfast:
Two women on different days managed the service. The blonde gal was sweet, helpful and gave great service. The woman who wore glasses provided only enough service to ensure the minimum of cleanup. At 9:30am (service is to 11) the orange juice carafe was empty and oh sorry, no more available. Same with the bacon on another day. Also, no water glasses available. She was rude, bussed the tables making so much noise it could only be intended to get people to leave.

Checkout:
Morning of checkout there was no hot water. So after cold showers we mentioned it to the man at the desk and he said they had "put something up". Right, so if you had already retired to your room for the night you wouldn't know. A "Four Star" hotel would have put a flier under each door. But with no apology for any inconvenience he was sure to mention that it was "Not Us" and the city was to blame. After a 9 night stay (with no complaints from us) we don't even get so much as a "hope you enjoyed your stay" or "thank you". We got a mumbled "au revoir" (I think) as we left the hotel.

There are many many lovely 3 star hotels in the 6th. They may cost you 50 more euro a night, but it would be money well spent.

Bottom line you are paying 3 star hotel prices for a 2 star experience. More than fancy amenities or toiletries, goodwill and attention to detail go a long way to creating a positive hotel stay. This hotel had minimal of the former and zero of the latter.

Cute property- just beware of smaller, room!
Pros:

The staff was excellent. Helpful, friendly and greeted me warmly each time. The small room itself was very dark. Nice to have slippers and a towel warmer to dry one’s towels. The bathroom is tired and showed signs of mildew. I’d say this was a 3 star hotel at best, though the property itself was very quaint. Excellent location.

Very disappointing……
Pros:

This was my fourth and, sadly, final stay. First, let me say that the staff were amiable, and the location is splendid. Sadly, the hotel itself is no longer up to par. My room (11) in particular was horrid. What used to pass for eclectic is now just tatty. Furniture was scuffed; carpets torn in multiple places; and the shower was a nightmare, flooding the cramped bathroom with each use. And breakfast was inedible — stale croissants and other pasteries and a sad fruit salad. I was so disappointed.

Cute hotel
Pros:

I really liked this quiet hotel, tucked behind Saint Sulpice church. The decor was vibrant and individual and good value for money. Our room did have a bit of mould but otherwise clean and comfortable.

The buffet breakfast was good and hot food made to order (although that was limited).

There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance.

Worst most expensive hotel ever
Pros:

Heatwave in Paris, when we arrive we paid and then they mention oh by the way a/c is out. Provide fans that do nothing. Offer free breakfast for a day. Breakfast is $20 a person for very minimal choices. (Keep in mind the price was $500 per night!) Did get to change rooms next day. But
This place is run down, and not well maintained at all. Mold, ripped carpets, ants, broken tv remote, slow WiFi. Staff is not overly friendly especially the manager who offered a bottle of wine but we have yet to see it. She never followed up with us. Acted like we were inconveniencing her. Did I mention $500 per night!

Pros:

What a lovely gem of a property! Off a quiet street, a world outside of delicious restaurants, shops, and history. The staff was kind and helpful, the room comfortable and charming. From the antiques throughout the property, the self service bar, and stacks of books to browse, I cannot imagine a better place to have stayed during our time in Paris.
