We visit London as often as possible and always stay ay Hotel 41. Entering the hotel is like visiting someone's cozy living room. With comfortable furniture, the warmth of the fireplace, and welcoming smiles of the staff, we immediately feel at home. There is always something delicious in the pantry, and a glass of champagne at the ready. The rooms are modern, spacious, and comfortable. The staff is friendly, professional, and at the ready to help make your stay memorable. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to main attractions and transportation hubs. Hotel 41 is our London home away from home!
I recently stayed at Hotel 41 when I visited London to accept an award and conduct business meetings. It was a superb experience from start to finish. From the very moment I booked the hotel I experienced the magic of dealing with a boutique hotel, so different from large impersonal hotels. I was warmly welcomed upon arrival and the experience only improved from then on. My room surpassed my expectations and the entire hotel was beautiful. I invited a local British friend for breakfast one morning in the executive lounge and he was similarly impressed. I developed a bad habit of taking a late afternoon break to sample delicious scones with clotted cream- I think of them still! What truly sets the place apart was the incredible service. All of the staff were very friendly, helpful and engaging and they made me feel truly special (I travel frequently for business and as a single female traveller this is not always the case). They made a huge fuss over the fact that I was in the UK to accept an award which I really appreciated and will not ever forget. Part of the reason I booked the hotel was proximity to my evening event and I was able to walk there with no fuss, but the fact that the Victoria tube station is only a five minute walk away is extremely convenient. I have been raving about this hotel since I returned to Canada and look forward to staying there again. While there are certainly less expensive options to stay in London, the value is worth the price. Thank you to the staff at Hotel 41 for making my recent trip to London such a memorable experience!
Small hotel, but the rooms are very good and their service is good. All good.
I recently spent a dreamy weekend at Hotel 41 in London, specifically choosing it for a special date meet-up with someone I'd been looking forward to seeing. From the moment I arrived, the hotel felt like the ideal setting for something intimate and luxurious without any fuss or crowds.
The location is unbeatable—right on Buckingham Palace Road, literally overlooking the Royal Mews. It's incredibly central yet surprisingly quiet and private, which was exactly what I wanted for a romantic, low-key visit. Stepping through the discreet entrance feels like entering a private club rather than a hotel; the staff greeted me by name almost immediately (after one quick check-in), offered a glass of chilled Champagne from the trolley, and made me feel instantly at ease and looked after.
My room was stunning in that signature black-and-white Art Deco style—elegant, moody, and surprisingly cozy despite being on the compact side (typical for central London boutique properties). The Savoir bed was heavenly; we both commented on how incredibly comfortable it was, perfect for lingering mornings and late nights. The bathroom had lovely Penhaligon's products, plush robes, and everything felt spotlessly clean and high-end.
What really elevated the stay was the famous "Plunder the Pantry" concept—24/7 access to an incredible array of complimentary treats, from fresh pastries, cheeses, charcuterie, ice cream, and canapés to wines and cocktails in the residents-only lounge. We spent cozy evenings by the fire in the lounge area, sipping drinks and enjoying snacks without ever needing to leave the hotel or deal with reservations elsewhere. It felt indulgent and effortless—ideal when you just want to focus on each other rather than logistics.
The service throughout was impeccable but never intrusive; the butlers and staff were warm, attentive, and discreet. They anticipated needs (extra pillows, late-night nibbles) without hovering, which added to the relaxed, intimate atmosphere we were hoping for.
If you're planning a special weekend in London—whether a romantic rendezvous, a celebratory getaway, or just wanting to feel spoiled—Hotel 41 delivers five-star magic in a wonderfully personal package. It's not the cheapest option, but for the privacy, comfort, and sheer quality, it's worth every penny. I left already plotting my return visit.
Highly recommend—5/5 stars, and easily one of the most memorable hotel experiences I've had in London.
What a stay at Hotel 41 is, it’s not just a hotel visit it’s an all round experience, they really look after you and the comfort is second to none.
From just the experience of checking in (you get sat down in a lounge and brought champagne {I’m sober and coeliac so I had alcohol and gluten free} and some hors d’oeuvres (again gluten free), then being shown your room (which has everything you need) the pillows by the way the comfiest I’ve ever experienced!
Treat yourself stay here!
Hotel 41 is truly one of the most exceptional boutique hotels in London. From the moment you arrive, the service is flawless, discreet, attentive, and genuinely warm. The atmosphere feels intimate and refined, almost like staying in a private residence rather than a traditional hotel.
The rooms are elegant, beautifully maintained, and extremely comfortable, with thoughtful details that make the stay feel special. The complimentary treats and evening refreshments add a unique touch that elevates the entire experience.
Its location, just steps from Buckingham Palace, is perfect for exploring the city while enjoying a quiet and exclusive retreat. An outstanding hotel that perfectly combines luxury, comfort, and personalized service.
This is the second time we have stayed at this absolute gem of a Hotel.
Everything is beyond perfect it truly is, from the warm welcome at the entrance to the wonderful checking in, the attention to detail warmth and professionalism. The whole stay was absolutely perfect !!!! Please don't ever change you really have got this true gem of an establishment perfect !!!! Thank You
I didn’t particularly enjoy my stay at this hotel, though there is a subjective element to my opinion.
Positive points:
• The staff are absolutely charming and genuinely focused on customer satisfaction. They are a great team.
• The hotel’s reception/lounge area has a lot of character, with old books, a fireplace, and leather sofas.
Negative points:
• The hotel is located on the top floor of the building. The corridors leading to the rooms are very narrow and have low ceilings. You shouldn’t be claustrophobic… This may appeal to people who enjoy the cabin-like atmosphere of an old ship.
• Our room was small, somewhat worn (see photos), and dark.
• The view from the room is not appealing (see photos).
• The corridor-shaped bathroom is not pleasant at all. There is nowhere to put anything. There is only one power outlet, intended for razors.
• Breakfast is expensive for what it offers. The made-to-order section is announced with a waiting time of 25 to 30 minutes, which is excessive.
Despite the quality of the staff, I do not have a good overall impression of my stay at this hotel.
Spent 2 nights at this fantastic hotel. Amazing location and lovely surprise that all rooms were on the 5th floor, so good views and away from noise.
The staff were so friendly and gave a personalised service, the best I have experienced in London. We visited for my birthday and they did so much above and beyond; room upgrade to a suite!, pillow with happy birthday on, birthday cake. If I could give it 6 stars or 11 out of 10 1 would. Made my birthday so memorable and really upset to be leaving. 41 puts other hotels to shame
We visited as part of a couple of days for my wife’s birthday and we were treated like royalty from the moment we walked through the door, I can’t praise the staff enough for their incredible hospitality and attention to detail.
A free glass of champagne on arrival, complimentary snack bar, birthday cake in the room, happy birthday on the pillow, hot water bottle placed in the bed and the best of all…a free upgrade to an executive suite which was amazing.
Without doubt, the best hotel we’ve ever stayed in…a real hidden gem and we can’t wait to revisit.
Thank you so much to everyone at Hotel 41 for helping to make it the perfect birthday present for my wife
I have stayed in many five star hotels in Europe. But I never in a hotel same this. They are very lovely all of them in the hotel. The room is fantastic, very clean and the most important, with top quality of the materials and furnitures. The breakfast is very good, and the plunter of pantry is fantastic. The total service is very over of all five star hotels that i have stayed. They made me and free upgrade. All in all the hotel is the most important reason to come back in London. Congratulations, you are amazing!!!
This extraordinary hotel ( the word hotel does not do it justice more like a private residence with staff ) was recommended to our daughters who booked 2 nights for my husband and I to celebrate his 60th birthday. I wanted to surprise him by inviting his closest friends for breakfast on his birthday and the hotel staff organised this event to the last perfect detail. We had such an incredible 48 hours made so special not only by the hotel, accommodation, food etc but by truly the incredible staff. If you want to feel special, look after and indulge in a fine stay please book a stay here. A huge Thank you to all at hotel 41

What a wonderful stay! From the first friendly greeting to the last call for a cab, this staff did a simply outstanding job. A perfect location, a beautiful gem of a hotel filled with warmth and care with lovely touches from the evening turn down service to the morning breakfast. I didn't want to leave! Quiet, exceptionally clean and elegant without being overstated.....they have curated a simply stunning experience for guests. Thank you!
From the moment we walked through the door we were looked after by the fantastic staff. We were taken to the executive lounge and seated with a complimentary glass of champagne. The check in process was smooth and efficient.
All details of the amenities were explained to use and we were shown to our room (junior suite). The room was on 2 levels and amazing.
Getting to dinner in Soho was easy - the staff called for a cab which was already waiting by the time we arrived downstairs. We both felt valued and looked after and would definitely return. The staff are all wonderful and the breakfast was excellent.
See previous reviews for all the reasons we love this hotel. The location, atmosphere, amenities, I could go on. Everything is just right. But mainly it is the staff. They are extra friendly and remember everything. We have never stayed anywhere that had a staff as well trained as this one. If we are in London, we stay here.
Hotel 41 exceeded all expectations! I planned a solo trip, then my mom decided to join & we had a great time! The staff was amazing in all areas. Hands down the best boutique hotel I’ve stayed at! The rooms were well kept and clean, the turn down service each day was great, the snack bar & services were a fun treat! I loved coming back at the end of the day for ice cream & reading the quote of the day on my bed! Location was perfect, easy to walk to all “must see attractions”! We loved it so much that my mom & dad are going together next month! Cannot wait to go back myself. 10/10 recommend!
I hesitate to write this review because I want this amazing property to remain a well-guarded secret. It checked all the boxes…small and boutique; a little bit quirky; impeccable service; beautiful, comfortable, well organized room with a gas fireplace (!); incredible location near restaurants, major sights and Victoria Station. One story: We were exhausted upon arrival after a 6-hour flight delay; it was raining outside and we wanted some comfort food (fish & chips) and draught beer. We were disappointed to find only bottled beer was available in the hotel. Then magically two draft beers appeared; the staff went to a nearby pub to fetch them for us. Hotel 41’s staff consistently performed above and beyond expectations throughout our stay. Thank you for making our visit to London truly special!
Thank you to the whole team for another wonderful stay and helping me celebrate my special birthday.
Highlights were the afternoon tea which included the chocolate and cherry scones (I first had those in 2018 and again in 2023).
Absolutely delicious and so were the finger sandwiches and cakes.
Plunder the Pantry, the cheese and ham toasties (another of my favourites).
Hopefully I will see you all again in the not too distant future.
Thank you once again and with best wishes Sue x
Hotel 41 was likely the best hotel experience I've had. The property and rooms are gorgeously designed, the service is warm and attentive. I'd recommend it to any visitors -- everything about it will make your trip so much more memorable and pleasant. And of course, it's central to London so you can walk to some key sites for visitors. Really fantastic - thank you for having us
My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel 41 in January, and I cannot speak highly enough of our experience. From the moment we arrived, we were treated to an exceptional level of service that made our trip to London truly unforgettable.
We were delighted to receive a complimentary upgrade to a stunning suite, complete with a cozy fireplace that added the perfect touch of warmth to the chilly January evenings. My wife was especially touched by the thoughtful hot water bottle left in our room—a small gesture that made a big difference!
The hotel’s lounge is an absolute gem. We spent a magical evening sipping champagne by the fire, enjoying the intimate and elegant atmosphere. The afternoon tea was equally delightful, with every detail attended to by the attentive staff.
Speaking of the staff, they are what truly sets Hotel 41 apart. Every interaction was marked by professionalism, kindness, and a genuine desire to ensure our comfort. Nothing was too much trouble, and their warmth made us feel right at home.
The location is ideal for exploring London, yet the hotel itself feels like a peaceful retreat from the bustle of the city. The attention to détail in absolutely all aspects of our journey was just perfect throughout our stay.
If you’re looking for a luxurious, welcoming, and unforgettable experience in London, look no further than Hotel 41. We can’t wait to return!
