This extraordinary hotel ( the word hotel does not do it justice more like a private residence with staff ) was recommended to our daughters who booked 2 nights for my husband and I to celebrate his 60th birthday. I wanted to surprise him by inviting his closest friends for breakfast on his birthday and the hotel staff organised this event to the last perfect detail. We had such an incredible 48 hours made so special not only by the hotel, accommodation, food etc but by truly the incredible staff. What a wonderful stay! From the first friendly greeting to the last call for a cab, this staff did a simply outstanding job. A perfect location, a beautiful gem of a hotel filled with warmth and care with lovely touches from the evening turn down service to the morning breakfast. I didn't want to leave! Quiet, exceptionally clean and elegant without being overstated.....they have curated a simply stunning experience for guests. Thank you!

From the moment we walked through the door we were looked after by the fantastic staff. We were taken to the executive lounge and seated with a complimentary glass of champagne. The check in process was smooth and efficient.

All details of the amenities were explained to use and we were shown to our room (junior suite). The room was on 2 levels and amazing.

Getting to dinner in Soho was easy - the staff called for a cab which was already waiting by the time we arrived downstairs. We both felt valued and looked after and would definitely return. The staff are all wonderful and the breakfast was excellent.

See previous reviews for all the reasons we love this hotel. The location, atmosphere, amenities, I could go on. Everything is just right. But mainly it is the staff. They are extra friendly and remember everything. We have never stayed anywhere that had a staff as well trained as this one. If we are in London, we stay here.

Hotel 41 exceeded all expectations! I planned a solo trip, then my mom decided to join & we had a great time! The staff was amazing in all areas. Hands down the best boutique hotel I’ve stayed at! The rooms were well kept and clean, the turn down service each day was great, the snack bar & services were a fun treat! I loved coming back at the end of the day for ice cream & reading the quote of the day on my bed! Location was perfect, easy to walk to all “must see attractions”! We loved it so much that my mom & dad are going together next month! Cannot wait to go back myself. 10/10 recommend!

I hesitate to write this review because I want this amazing property to remain a well-guarded secret. It checked all the boxes…small and boutique; a little bit quirky; impeccable service; beautiful, comfortable, well organized room with a gas fireplace (!); incredible location near restaurants, major sights and Victoria Station. One story: We were exhausted upon arrival after a 6-hour flight delay; it was raining outside and we wanted some comfort food (fish & chips) and draught beer. We were disappointed to find only bottled beer was available in the hotel. Then magically two draft beers appeared; the staff went to a nearby pub to fetch them for us. Hotel 41’s staff consistently performed above and beyond expectations throughout our stay. Thank you for making our visit to London truly special!

Highlights were the afternoon tea which included the chocolate and cherry scones (I first had those in 2018 and again in 2023).

Absolutely delicious and so were the finger sandwiches and cakes.

Plunder the Pantry, the cheese and ham toasties (another of my favourites).

Hopefully I will see you all again in the not too distant future.

Hotel 41 was likely the best hotel experience I've had. The property and rooms are gorgeously designed, the service is warm and attentive. I'd recommend it to any visitors -- everything about it will make your trip so much more memorable and pleasant. And of course, it's central to London so you can walk to some key sites for visitors. My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel 41 in January, and I cannot speak highly enough of our experience. From the moment we arrived, we were treated to an exceptional level of service that made our trip to London truly unforgettable.

We were delighted to receive a complimentary upgrade to a stunning suite, complete with a cozy fireplace that added the perfect touch of warmth to the chilly January evenings. My wife was especially touched by the thoughtful hot water bottle left in our room—a small gesture that made a big difference!

The hotel’s lounge is an absolute gem. We spent a magical evening sipping champagne by the fire, enjoying the intimate and elegant atmosphere. The afternoon tea was equally delightful, with every detail attended to by the attentive staff.

Speaking of the staff, they are what truly sets Hotel 41 apart. Every interaction was marked by professionalism, kindness, and a genuine desire to ensure our comfort. Nothing was too much trouble, and their warmth made us feel right at home.

The location is ideal for exploring London, yet the hotel itself feels like a peaceful retreat from the bustle of the city. The attention to détail in absolutely all aspects of our journey was just perfect throughout our stay.

We have stayed at Hotel 41 many times over the years. It never disappoints. The service is the most attentive we have seen. We were traveling with our son who has stayed at many luxury properties throughout Asia and Europe. He says that the Executive Lounge at the 41 is his favorite room in the world. How can you.beat that?

I didn’t particularly enjoy my stay at this hotel, though there is a subjective element to my opinion.

Positive points:
• The staff are absolutely charming and genuinely focused on customer satisfaction. They are a great team.
• The hotel’s reception/lounge area has a lot of character, with old books, a fireplace, and leather sofas.

Negative points:
• The hotel is located on the top floor of the building. The corridors leading to the rooms are very narrow and have low ceilings. You shouldn’t be claustrophobic… This may appeal to people who enjoy the cabin-like atmosphere of an old ship.
• Our room was small, somewhat worn (see photos), and dark.
• The view from the room is not appealing (see photos).
• The corridor-shaped bathroom is not pleasant at all. There is nowhere to put anything. There is only one power outlet, intended for razors.
• Breakfast is expensive for what it offers. The made-to-order section is announced with a waiting time of 25 to 30 minutes, which is excessive.

Despite the quality of the staff, I do not have a good overall impression of my stay at this hotel.

I have traveled to London for both business and pleasure multiple times over the last several years and stayed in many different hotels, Hotel 41 is by far the best of them all (and I liked all of the others -so the competition was strong). Our experience was outstanding starting at the arrival with a friendly greeting in their warm, cozy and inviting executive lounge-- a sort of high-end English manor meets luxury personal library vibe. Our room was extremely comfortable, very large and well appointed with significant storage and relaxing space by London standards. We had breakfast each morning in the hotel with prompt, attentive, and impeccable service. After time out touring we would return to a fully cleaned and refreshed room that was inviting and relaxing. We would head out to dinner and drinks in the evening and return to a warm greeting and re-refreshed room. Unique to any hotel experience, the executive lounge doubles as an inviting social space as well as a personal quiet space to relax and read in front of a fire or enjoy conversation with traveling companions from morning through late night. We didn't want to leave the hotel to return home-- it was that amazing. I could not recommend this hotel highly enough. Any downsides? Well, not really except they do not have an on-site fitness center but do have access to a great gym about a block away. There is a 100% chance that I will stay here on my next visit to London and can not wait to return to Hotel 41!

We have just returned from our second stay at Hotel 41 and, once again, it has been wonderful in every way - relaxed ambience, very comfortable, stylish, fantastic location, great food and drink and, above all, brilliant staff who all work so hard to ensure the best stay for guests.

Instead of 5 stars, this hotel should be 41 stars. Here's a list of all the things I love about this hotel:
*Location is great - although in a tourist area across the street from Buckingham Palace, it's still quiet and reserved. Easy walk to the tube or the central sights.
*The Executive Lounge that serves as the three-meal-a-day restaurant, bar, and public space is super cozy, incredibly well-attended, and stocked with everything you could need.
*The rooms are super spacious and cozy - the beds are difficult to get out of (in the best way) and THE BEST water pressure. Seriously, a simple shower is transformative.
*Housekeeping services are flawless. Little gifts throughout the stay only heighten your excitement to return to your room.
*Saving the best for last, but the staff. Everyone knows who you are, your preferences, your stay details, etc. You never have to repeat mundane details like your name or your room number because they already know. Intuitive, thoughtful service at its best.

Such a beautiful romantic hotel. We stayed for our 25th wedding anniversary and had a fabulous time. The staff were so kind and attentive and helped make our stay extra special. We stayed in the Balmoral suite which was huge and gorgeous. Extras like a special cake and 'Happy Anniversary' pillow were such lovely touches. The lounge is like stepping back in time to a beautiful old library and the champagne welcome drink and food and snacks provided all day and night was amazing. Nothing to fault, absolutely perfect. Thank you to all the hotel staff.

Where to start! This trip was an overdue 20th anniversary for us, visit the city, museums and what a delightful time we had a Hotel 41. There is no way to overstate the commitment and the 'above and beyond' care from the staff we received while guests. The vibe is of an elegant private estate where staff call you by name -- they cultivate a familiar dynamic, something of a testament to their outstanding people skills. This is not a large show off kind of place, this hotel is a quiet "in the know" place, one of the reasons we will be back. The clientele seem to be the kind of visitors who know the difference. My advice, reserve and be amazed. Shout outs to the staff, who were without fail exceptional.

As soon as you arrive you are warmly welcomed. The included welcome drink for me non alcoholic champagne but normal champagne eagerly offered. Check in is easy and relaxed. Nibbles arrive. Although I was early my room would have been ready early but I had a lunch appointment.

They know I like a fire in my room and although single rooms do not have them i was upgraded to a lovely two level suite.

What sets it apart and keeps it my favourite hotel in London is the impeccable service.

The free treats remain that special touch. The canapés and croquet monsieur are a highlight.

The raid the pantry food when back from the theatre was also excellent.

The turn down service was lovely with mats and slippers laid out, a sleeping spray, a message written on my mirror hoping id enjoyed the ballet and the indulgence of a hot water bottle in bed.

The bedding is lovely and I slept well.

The breakfast has a good range and variety of food of excellent quality.

I love hotel 41. It always feels like a familiar welcoming indulgent place to stay in London and I feel at home but spoilt.

An oasis in central London with impeccable service. My wife and I have stayed in many London hotels, Hotel 41 is the best we have experienced and my wife may not go back to London unless we can stay there!

A hidden gem. The service is impeccable, the staff can't do enough for you. Fantastic location and the rooms are much larger than standard in London. Very comfortable beds.
