Breakfast was outstanding and had alot to offer.
Property exterior and railings needs attention
The room was fine. Standard. Water pressure in the shower was great.
We were close to an outside exit...people propped that door open on occasion. Bags of garbage were both at the top of the stairs outside as well as at the bottom of the stairs by the parking lot. It never got cleaned up.
Breakfast was horrible--both days there was no food left by 8am. Nothing. Guests were scrounging for milk to add to coffee. No one attended to the breakfast area to refill food and it was very messy and dirty.
The staff cleaning were complaining about the facility in the hallway. They were just in jeans and tshirts. 'Management' was dressed in jeans, oversized sweatshirts, and overall looked dirty. The 'manager' also came into the breakfast area and grabbed some dry cereal (what was left of it) and walked out...despite it still being within breakfast hours, and the room being very dirty...and ate the cereal. Apparently not concerned at all about the conditions of the room or services that should be available to guests. It was parent's weekend in Duluth for the University so the cost of the room was $220 a night . I think it is ridiculous to pay that for this facility.....based on the conditions and staff or lack thereof. Will not be returning.
Good location. The rooms themselves were clean
outside the rooms - hallways, entry, etc looked unclean, like it needs major updating.
The waffle iron did not work properly, There were covers for coffee cups, no one came to check or resupply breakfast items.
Location available rooms, and value compared to other places in the Duluth area was good.
Air conditioning was on by default which made the room cool to start the evening there. Access to second floor room was by outside stairs and stairwell lights were off the evening we arrived.

The continental breakfast was a little skimpy.
There was no breakfast. I was charged a pet fee of $45 . She’s 22 pounds. She has always traveled there with us. We never leave her unattended.. I have never paid that amount at this hotel. They gave us a room on the 3 floor in back of the hotel it was not a comfortable. The the room smelled and felt very damp not as clean as other rooms we have spent the night al this hotel. Hopefully when we come through there again in September I will be able to give a better review.
