I would like to congratulate Kelly and Joe, hotel general managers, for their outstanding leadership and support during the emergency evacuation on July 7 due to the threat of a building collapse across the street. Kelly made a general announcement to evacuate (loud and clear in the room, which is good to note) that was calm and articulate but stressed the urgency of needing to leave right away while noting succinctly that it was not a fire but a dangerous problem with the building across the street. I thought that detail was very helpful -- probably reducing frenzied panic among the guests. I later received an email from her providing a booking at another hotel at no cost (though I had found space with family). They sent another email with information about how to retrieve our belongings the next morning, including Joe's mobile number and the cafe where they were based. A cheerful policeman escorted me up an eerily empty 43rd street where we found the hotel's night guard bravely waiting in the hotel lobby (didn't get his name). Joe, (who was also friendly and efficient at check-in) was waiting there and accompanied me up in case my key didn't work. As he escorted us back to safety on 2nd Ave, he mentioned that he and Kelly were up until after 2 AM contacting and helping all the guests. They were brave, organized, friendly, and helpful throughout this wild ride and I really appreciated it. And, by the way, the hotel was clean (my top priority), with good Wi-Fi (my other top priority), and a had nice variety of breakfast options. A 5-star stay even without the over-and-above support from the management staff during that very strange crisis.

I had a reservation at the Hampton Inn Grand Central on the day the entire street and area was closed for an emergency situation when a building was possibly going to fall down across the street. I have to say the service from the hotel has been exceptional. They responded to my texts, even when they didnt have answers for everything. They had me at another hotel the same day. And as the emergency has gone on, they confirmed I can stay at the other hotel for my entire week. I am very happy with how the Hampton Inn has handled things the last couple days. The general manager has been working around the clock to do everything in their power to take care of their guests. I appreciate all the hard work and helpfulness of staff at both locations. Thank you for making sure I wasn't stranded in NYC with nowhere to stay.

Everyone was really kind and helpful when I asked questions and the hotel room was clean , breakfast was amazing and so was the service .

Amazing team Victoria at the front desk to Destiny working breakfast and cleaning up the mess I made with the waffle mix. Clean rooms the prefect place to enjoy NYC.
