Went mostly as expected, hotel could use a few updates and a little bit of life
Pros:

Everything was mostly what I expected and enjoy

Cons:

The bed was very firm. Too firm. We didn’t have toilet paper in the room when we arrived. Would be nice to have had a smart TV so we could sign into streaming services. Felt rushed to leave even though we had arranged a late check out

We enjoyed our stay except for the rooms not being cleaned.
Pros:

It was in a good location and fairly nice.

Cons:

The management was not good at all. We complained daily that we were not getting new towels and wash rags and that our trash was not being taken out. It did no do any good. We had to go get towels from the front desk. Our trash was finally taken out on the third day after we tracked down a housekeeper and asked her to do it. We could not find the housekeeper for our end of the hall.

Will NOT stay at another Holiday Inn Express again.
Pros:

Mediocre at best.

Cons:

Carpet in hallway and room was old and worn. When we checked in and given a room, entered but room was not cleaned, someone had started but not finished. Bathroom had old tub and stall. Outside card entry did not work. Never got my receipt from this stay and have not seen a $25 deposit return that was charged. EXTREMELY Disappointed.

Cons:

Tv didn’t work half the time. Room and bathroom was dirty. Bath soap was empty.

Unsatisfactory stay for the unexpected high price.
Pros:

The location was convenient.

Cons:

The beds were rock hard. The shower/tub had standing water that was slimy. Not enough towels for 3 guests. No body wash or hand soap. No coffee pods or cups for Keurig. No housekeeping service available. Booking.com showed online rate of $101/night but it was $187.50/night. The breakfast area was nice and clean but didn’t have many choices at 8:15am

Disappointing for a Holday Inn
Pros:

Location was walking distance for the balloon races

Cons:

The bathroom shower had black mold everywhere. There was dirt or possibly poop around the base of the toilet.

Front desk staff are nice, housekeeping staff loud and need to do a better job cleaning
Pros:

The front desk staff, Maranda was really nice. She greeted me with a smile.

Cons:

The bathroom was not clean. I cleaned it myself because it was late when I checked in and I knew housekeeping was not available. The next morning the housekeeping staff was unnecessarily loud. I was at the end of the hall and I could hear them in the middle of the hall.

I was very disappointed in the entire front desk and housekeepers regarding their lack of interest in cleanliness!
Pros:

Close to freeway and downtown.

Cons:

I could not get the staff to clean the room; the beds were made ok. The trash can was dirty, the trash bag was not inserted in the can. Room only was vacuumed on e and that was after complaining 3 days!
The food was below standard— cheap. Good coffee. Kitchen was dirty and I saw food being put back after guests had meals.
