Breakfast was fine with some apparent gluten free options as requested and confirmed. They were not labelled though and were not plentiful. Some food was not replenished promptly and required some checking in with staff, who were helpful. Property was very conveniently located for shopping for necessities and was across the street from the funeral home that we were attending. Room was clean, modern, well designed and comfortable.
Front desk service felt a little rote and mechanical instead of welcoming and interested. I referred someone to the property because rooms appeared to be available when I booked and when they chose to call instead of booking online, the staff told them that they were out of rooms. Makes one speculate why the multi-channel booking experience actually makes booking more complicated and whether it affects price negatively. Television had multiple issues and also had no casting functionality. I don't believe that staff asked about my stay during check-out and they certainly didn't ask why I was in town at check-in. The other party and I were there for a funeral. Some interest at each of the front desk experiences would have increased a sense of value for the high price that we paid for our rooms.
The beds were comfortable, the pillows were great.
