everything was good
Pool
Uncomfortable bed, noisy a/c, older motel, everything was locked had to find someone to open things, felt unsafe, not a good area
I liked the location.
I didn't like the carpet in my room. It needs to be replaced.
The pool
The room was nasty and hadn't been thoroughly cleaned ever, had bed bugs, the bathroom fan and light didn't work. The employees were extremely rude and not accommodating at all. I have a service dog, they didn't know the legalities and attempted to make me take her to my room while I was in the pool. She is permitted on the deck but not in the pool and I am very aware. The employees were snarky and it made me upset I spent my money there.
The convenience
The location
There was evidence peeling paint and mold over the sink and tub. The third drawer was inaccessible because the handle was missing. The security latch on the front door was missing. See photos.
NOthing
Roaches and Lizards in the first room, moved to another just roaches in that one.
I checked out immediately and the facility refused to refund me.
Very BAD customer service
Everything was smooth!
Nothing eveything was pretty amazing!
Easy off the highway
The bed was horrible. It made a racket with every slight movement. It was also very uncomfortable.
Ease of access from the highway.
Initial room unacceptable, unable to locate staff for over 5 minutes. Dirty, stinky room, German cockroaches, missing and deteriorating baseboards.
Look, anyone who stays here is doing it because of the price. I knew that going in, so I wasn't surprised to see a molding falling off the wall or a dirty floor. What I was surprised to see was a "KEY FEE" on my bill. Never in all my years of travel have I encountered such a fee, even when hotels were still using real metal keys. When I checked out at the front desk (and returned my key), I asked about the charge. I could tell the receptionist answered that question often and claimed she didn't know what the fee was for and it appears on everyone's bill.
I know exactly why it appears on everyone's bill- because the property owner views it as a free cash grab, to the tune of $15,000 to $30,000 per year or more, depending on property size and occupancy. If it was a legitimate charge, why wouldn't they bake it into the room rate? Because they know it might make them uncompetitive in the area and cost them bookings. The only recourse we have as consumers is to leave them one-star reviews until they discontinue such practices. I guarantee you, every property owner would gladly pay whatever they charge for the "KEY FEE" to avoid one star reviews from guests.
Breakfast and location were fine. Lots of things were not.
Cleanliness. Under bed was filthy.
No hot water
No soap dishes
No available coffee
We specifically asked for a room with access only from an interior hallway. Both the Booking and front desk representative did not understand. There is no interior access.
There were no trolles to help with luggage etc.
Previous stay at a Baymont hotel was excellent. This definitely was not.
