Staffs are very friendly
Location of the Place is very nice and amusing. Surrounding view is awesome. Rooms are not spacious. Service and food are also good.
Enjoyed my stay from beginning to end! Staff were friendly--offering tea or coffee on arrival and making good recommendations for hiking. The multi-level balconies really can't be beat for comfort and great mountain views. Rooms were cozy, with a good heating system and the soft fleece blankets were a nice touch. My only (minor) complaint was that the bathroom was a bit chilly on a cold January day, but that didn't take away from an overall great experience. Definitely recommend staying here!
The service was great. I think the staff there did a really good job of being attentive and helpful. The only downside was the construction. Luckily the noise started around 7 am when we were already awake.
Nice place to stay...very helpfull and friendly staff
I was traveling with my twin 10 month old babies, when I reached the location, it was raining. The owner came and told, all the rooms are booked in the main premises and told us to take either an underground room which was like a DUNGEON or move to adjacent Resort (Serene Resort). It was pure cheating and the rooms which we had booked in photo doesn't match to that underground DUNGEON. Owner was such inhuman, in rain we had to move to adjacent resort with babies.
Expedia should blacklist this sort of cheaters and inhuman people from their website, you don't get what you see.
Serene resort staff was humble and and the premises was clean and tidy.
Super friendly staff! They were very kind and arranged everything I needed. It really made the stay even more enjoyable due to their kindness! Thanks
In the EXPEDIA website they showed the main building but we had to stay in the building which is under construction without hot water and no views of the mountains, which I specifically requested, except trees from the balcony. Food qualities are below average. I am totally disappointed with my stay in Peaceful Cottage & Cafe du Mont. Also it was very difficult to communicate with EXPEDIA regarding my observation of the hotel at that time.
i should have believe some of the review , about the condition of this hotel, the view was great from the terrace , that about it, but if the weather is cloudy , then we just have wasted the money and a wasted trip, you need drag your luggage up from a muddy road,
rooms is over price ! advise to new tourist, , about 200 metre away from the this hotel down the hill, , there is a small town with so many new hotel, and much much cheaper ! a 2 double room with 2 double bed at the Hotel Everest Window View cost only USD20 ! and with the great view ! google it ,
run down, smelly bathroom. nothing special except the view.
Hotel not far from Nagarkot town center, but have to walk up staircase to the reception with luggage, checked in very fast, read the previous reviews from here, so i requested the room 501 from them earlier, finally i checked in to that room, great view, room clean but dated. Bathroom dated as well, but for me, surrounding and view is the most important, that's the reason i came to Nagarkot. I like to sit in front of the restaurant, relaxing with cup of tea or coffee while enjoying the view. Dinner in the hotel restaurant, delicious pizza they made. Morning buffet breakfast in front of restaurant, few choices western and Nepalese food but tasty. Restaurant staff always helpful and friendly. Hotel roof top is the good view point for sunset and sunrise so actually don't have to go to Nagarkot view point.Unfortunately the weather no good during my stay, can't view the Langtang Himalayan Range, will choose back this hotel if i come back again.
We really enjoyed our little getaway at the Peaceful Cottage. The food was delicious, the staff were friendly and helpul and our room was large, well appointed, heated and the shower was fabulous!
The view from this hotel is amazing and the service was good as well. The facilities are old but you are paying for the view so keep that in mind when booking. The toilet wasn’t working at one point, which a staff member helped resolved. The breakfast is simple but delicious. The food in the restaurant is also good and reasonable priced. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at the Peaceful Cottage.
Stayed in Nagarkot for a couple of days to catch a view of the mountains. Peaceful Hotel, with its majestic view covering the Ganesh mountains to Everest (hard to see but visible), did not disappoint. Staff were very helpful and friendly as well. Will definitely come again.
We stayed here after our EBC trek as a way of immediate rest and relax. A few things, the views are incredible, however neighboring properties are popping up to ruin it very soon (sunrise especially, as already ruined). Breakfast was nice (we had our included), but the food is overpriced in my opinion and portions are way too small. Lounge area has no fireplace or anything like that, so it's cold to sit down for a meal.
This was my 4th visit to Nagarcot and 1 st time at this wonderful hotel.Just the best and as for the terrace, quite the best breakfast view ever.
The hotel is slightly ahead from the main market but is at an amazing location. The view of the himalayan range is beautiful from the cafe and the rooms as well. The staff is really helpful.
The rooms have a different feel to them and are very nicely maintained.
Enjoy the peace and quiet here.
I wanted to rate it higher because of the views but we were so disappointed with the room. They provided only one bottle of water while other hotels in Kathmandu provided us with two. I don't get this. The hot water was also not working. My boyfriend didn't shower because of this and we were in a hurry to have it fix. I was also hoping they would provide an electric kettle for hot water but we need to go to the restaurant first for hot water. Again, we loved the views so much and I hope they would improve the quality of the rooms and service.
The best part of Peaceful Cottage is the view of the Himalayas from the terrace. It is absolutely stunning! That's the main selling point. The guest house is nice, but there were a few drawbacks. One was a lack of hot water in the mornings. Taking a cold shower is not fun. Also, there are no TVs in the economy rooms so you better bring a deck of cards. I'm not sure about the other rooms. The last drawback would be the construction that was going on around the guesthouse. Sometimes it could get pretty noisy. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay, but I didn't spend much time in my room. Breakfast is OK and the service is OK. If I am ever in Nagarkot again I would probably stay at Peaceful Cottage just for the view..........
The staff was very helpful and the room was very appealing in a rustic manner. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and we had an incredible view of the mountains the moment we walked on to the viewing deck. It was a GREAT choice for the place to stay in Nagarot!
