The pub was lovely, the decor was done really nicely with a good kids outdoor play area. The staff were friendly.
The hotel was on a very busy road, unfortunately when we stayed in one of the rooms it sounded like we were sleeping on top of a road. It was a very hot day so we did initially have the windows open as the room was baking. However even when we closed the windows to try and get some sleep because of the noise it was still very loud as the windows are single glazed. We barely slept.
The Setting was beautiful, The staff were exceptional, The whole décor was good with modern clean facilities and a great breakfast
Only small negatives were regarding overall comfort due to no air conditioning in the room on a hot day was a tough nights sleep.
and Breakfast served at 9am this is a little late in the morning for most business travellers.
Great accommodation on the grounds of a lovely little pub. The separate access to the rooms was great. The pub itself was lovely, staff were really nice and the food and drinks were fab.
Nothing
Fantastic stay in a gem of a country pub hotel. Lovely room, great decor and comfy bed. Next to a road and a pub yet wonderfully peaceful and tranquil. Great fast WIFI - can't say that for many hotels!! Super breakfast in the pub with friendly, attentive service. Can't fault it. Will definitely recommend and will stay again.
Clean, quiet perfect location for our wedding venue over the road
Excellent breakfast
Road noise at night when windows are open
The food was fantastic.
The bed & pillows were comfortable, black out curtains worked well.
Staff were all lovely.
The shower was so nice, I didn't want to get out. Great that conditioner was supplied, too.
Breakfast at 9-11am, thus is late for business travellers, so I needed to have a work call before breakfast & then got to where I was going much later than planned. However, the breakfast was delicious!
Traffic noise, a fan would have been useful so I could have closed the windows.
Refurbished and lots of lovely touches - the six en suite rooms were seperate from the pub so self contained and no noise from the pub ... great to have decaf coffee bags in the room as well as caffeinated , hot chocolate , tea and a can of water ... all very clean and comfortable
Nothing
Separate building for rooms , away from pub..
Clean and tidy, really comfortable mattresses and large walk in shower
