Good location near my customer and parking
I recently stayed at this hotel and had a very poor experience with both the room and the way my complaint was handled. I was placed in a room where the WiFi did not work. I informed reception politely and was told everything was fine on their end. The only solution offered was a paid upgrade to another room. I declined and told the female receptionist that was not acceptable as the room I booked was advertised and sold with WiFi included. The receptionist then left to the back room saying she could not handle it. A male colleague came out a few minutes later and loudly stated that she was crying, which left me feeling uncomfortable and slightly intimidated.
I suggested he come to the room and that if he could get the WiFi working I would happy to stay. He could not, and 10 minutes later I was moved to a different room.
The interaction left me so anxious that I avoided the restaurant for dinner and did not have breakfast there either.
At check out I asked for a manager to call me to discuss what happened. No call came. I texted the property the next morning asking again for a manager to call me. Still no response. I could not email as I was driving between appointments.
The lack of follow up and the arrogance of management not calling me back has forced me to revise my rating down from a 6 to a 4.
Selling a room with WiFi and refusing to resolve it without an extra charge, then ignoring repeated requests to discuss the issue, is not acceptable.
I wouldn’t normally mention little things, but because of what happened I am, there was a pubic hair in my bath, the kettle was dirty and their extra large double beds are 2 x single beds with a very thin zip cover (this kind of bed is great for a couple NOT for a single traveller, its like sleeping in a single bed).

Evening meal was excellent
Breakfast was disappointing, not value for money, fruit options very limited, long queue for coffee machine, eggs freshly cooked but other hot items weren’t. Would have expected all the breakfast options including tea & coffee to be prepared / cooked fresh and table served rather than squeezed into a small buffet area. Some food items had run out and had ask waitress to restock buffet.
The properly was great.
Unfortunately I was no able to shower as it flooded, I was offered no compensation for this

Everything was perfect, the location was serene but beautiful, the venue was of an extremely high standard, food was the nicest we've tasted and customer service of staff was second to none ans couldn't do enough for you, will definitely be returning!
