I had stayed at this hotel many times when it was a Four Points Sheraton and was interested to see how it has changed since Wyndham took over.
There is a major shortage of quality hotels in Yuhuan county. The best hotels are situated in Wenling or Jiaojiang which are an hour away, so in terms of options, you are very limited with choice.
It was my first trip back to China after Covid, and it quickly became apparent that the Wyndham has deteriorated significantly. The rooms are definitely starting to show their age. The water that came out of the showers also had a foul smell.
The breakfast area on the ground floor feels very grubby, which is something i never noticed when Sheraton was managing the hotel. They do not take adequate care with hygiene in this area and i was very reluctant to eat most things.
I would love to see something like the wonderful Hilton Taizhou open in Yuhuan in future. Unfortunately, if you are forced to stay in Yuhuan, the Wyndham is still the best option there is.
Excellent. Very near eatery.
Good sized rooms and friendly staff throughout our stay. This hotel is in a great location and there is a mall across the road which is quite convenient. Grand Dining on 27th floor is exquisite!
The hotel is realy nice and the rooms are very comfortable.
Of course the rooms are very clean and and the bed was really big.
The breakfast was also ok, but for me a bit to much asian style :)
The view from the hotel bar is very nice and the drinks taste good.
The transfer from the airport to the hotel has not work, they have forgot it.
WE CHECKED IN AT 5PM ON 5TH AND THE COUTER TOLD US THE ROOM IS NOT READY FOR US AND WE HAVE COMPLAINED AND AT LAST THEY ABLE TO PROVIDE US A ROOM. ONCE WE ENTER THE ROOM WE NOTICE THE WINDON IS FACING A GRAVE AND WE ARE EXTREMELY UNHAPPY AND DISAPPOINTED.
Great hotel with a new mall the other side of the street. I have been there three times now and are very happy with my stay. Great rooms, good food and staff.
There is nothing to do in Yuhuan as I know but there is a Belgian pub only couple of hundred meters of it.
Everything was excellent-just wish the beds were softer
Best hotel in yuhuan for me with good service and restaurants, the lobby lounge can be quiet which is what you sometimes need. The new shopping mall is a welcome addition to a traveller staying here providing alternative eateries.
While I keep trying to like this property as I love the rooms at this hotel, the service, restaurant, lobby lounge and 26th floor bar are not up to anyone’s standards for service or quality. The only restaurant is a buffet with too wide of a selection of luke warm food. The 26th floor bar with a purported happy hour had two chicken wings, 10 skewers of chicken and two pieces of the most disgusting looking pizza on earth and no customers. The lobby bar had a display of 10 beers, none of which they had, when I ordered a vodka and tonic, they only had one of the eight vodkas on the menu and no tonic water or ice. The service was terrible and virtually nonexistent. My advice if you need to do business in Yuhuan take the train down from Ningbo and go back each evening. Won’t stay here again.
It is a pleasant hotel in the small town. Maybe the best hotel in the small town. Location is a little off the main town but right opposite a new mall. Will stay again.
This hotel is very nice and cumfortable; staff is available and reactive if required, but speaks hardly english.
This is the only hotel you would wanted to stay in China. First, the check-in agent Maggie is the jewel in the staff. She speaks great English and is supremely friendly and helpful. She patiently answered all of our questions and proactively asked what else would we need to make our stay a comfortable one. One of the best check-in frond desk agent in my experience.
Second, the hotel room is clean and spacious. This isn't the typical US Four Points but think Sheraton level. For the money you spent you are in luxury quality.
Just one thing to note (but definitely do not diminish the 5 star quality of the hotel). The front door staff seems to have "I don't care" attitude. They never open the car door for you when you arrive (or should I say never open the door unless you ride in a super expensive car). When we arrived we have many baggage and they just stood there watching as we unload and bring it in ourselves.
But overall, this hotel is great service, clean and spacious rooms, and is situated right next to the biggest mall in Yuhuan, best location. The only place to stay in my opinion in Yuhuan.
Excellent hôtel, le meilleur du coin selon mon expérience
I spent one night in the this hotel while I was visiting some some suppliers.
Hotel is very clean and new.
We had dinner at the BQQ Buffet restaurant in the hotel.
Food also was good and fresh.
I will visit the hotel again in my next visit to Yuhuan!!!
We had two nights here in a very nice room. The location is a bit out of the way for most sights or attractions, although they are within a taxi ride. Immediately around the hotel itself, there are some local shops, and (apparent) construction of new shopping mall. The swimming pool was nice (although limited hours, 10 am to 10 pm; and marked on the website as shut!).
Neat clean ,tidy and good service.Breakfast was well laid out and the food was ok.The only issue was that there is a Mall being built across the road and construction is very noisy. Not to be helped I suppose.
THe hotel is very nice the grounds are excellent but the service has not caught up to the type of hotel it should be. My room was very loud due to the bar on the top floor I was two floors below the bar.
The hotel is very clean, the staff was very friendly. The breakfast buffet food was delicious. There were enough choices for most anyone to be satisfied at breakfast. I planned to use room service for dinner last night but fell asleep early and slept all night. I did use the laundry service and was pleased with their performance. The laundry prices seemed a bit high but with not having to pack so many clothes.
There is a large construction project across the street (shopping mall) that offers a little noise around the clock but I still slept well. Will stay here again.
The fitness center, pool, sauna, and Stan room are great amenities to the US traveler.
This hotel is a bright star in the city. The service was perfect, all staff was very careful in always greeting you with a smile. Was upgraded to a suite with spacious living room, a decent working table and a luxurious glass-walled bathroom with a tub and a separate rain-type shower. Every space was flawlessly cleaned with the exception of one of the windows, which had a rather remarkably visible stain on the inside. Enjoyed an absolutely first class meal in one of the the VIP dining rooms. The breakfast experience was not, however, as the breakfast hall is in need of refurnishing. While the breakfast staff was just as polite and smiling, they were not attentive enough to prevent another guest from taking my seat without showing me a new one. But overall a great hotel experience and I would definitely return.
Accommodation:
This hotel is amazing. I stayed in a double room. The room itself was immaculately clean and very, very big. Bed was big and very comfortable. The room was warm. We were greeted by a fabulous entrance foyer and after being shown to our rooms, were greeted to a knock on the door with complimentary oranges. Very tasty they were too! Bathroom was huge with separate toilet and shower. Large TV had a few more English speaking channels than other hotels we stayed in. WiFi worked well. As with everywhere in China, some western websites and apps (Google, Facebook, Snapchat, etc.), do not work.
Facilities:
We didn’t get the time to use the facilities.
Overall:
This hotel was very good. It is rated at 5 stars, and I can see why. The entrance foyer is absolutely amazing. We didn’t have an evening meal here, but the breakfast (having the usual Chinese and Western fare in a buffet arrangement) was fantastic, with plenty of choice The staff were friendly and polite. This is a genuine 5 star hotel, and is located in a very beautiful part of China, surrounded by hills and located in a relatively quiet town/city.
