We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The entire staff was extremely welcoming and made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived.
A special mention to Bandana, who was incredibly friendly and caring with our child. Her warm and cheerful interactions made our stay even more enjoyable. Joy at the reception was very helpful and ensured a smooth check-in and overall experience. We would also like to appreciate Rohan at the restaurant for his excellent service and hospitality.

The pool room was spacious, comfortable, and well-maintained, adding to the overall pleasant experience.

Lush green locales, clean and spacious property

We stayed at Hyatt Place Hampi for two nights to celebrate our daughter's birthday, and of course to visit Hampi, and it turned out to be one of the most special trips we have had in recent time.
From the moment we checked in, it was clear this wasn't just another hotel stay. The room was beautifully decorated, and there was a cake waiting for us, and I don't have to tell you how happy our daughter was.
What truly touched us was that everyone, from the front desk to the chef, already knew it was our daughter's birthday and the welcome felt personal.
Bandhana went above and beyond in every sense. The surprises kept coming throughout our stay, and she checked on us repeatedly to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. That kind of genuine, personal attention is rare and made all the difference.
The garden and surroundings were absolutely lovely — peaceful, green, and beautiful. And a special mention for the lawn area, which turned into the perfect playground for both our daughter and our dog.
Every single person we interacted with — security, front desk, housekeeping, the chef — made us feel seen and cared for. It never felt transactional. It felt personal, warm, and sincere.

Had a wonderful stay at Hyatt Hampi! The rooms were comfortable and spotless, the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome, and the location was perfect for exploring the heritage sites. The food was excellent too. Would happily stay here again — highly recommended!

I booked a staycation at this hotel to surprise my pregnant wife and create a special memory for us. While making the reservation, I clearly informed the team that it was our first visit and requested special arrangements, including room decoration, to make the occasion memorable.

Unfortunately, the hotel failed to deliver on almost every promise. Despite repeated requests, the room was not decorated as discussed, and there was no effort from the staff to make our stay feel special. Even during our dining experience, there was no recognition of the occasion or any gesture that reflected the hospitality standards expected from a premium hotel.

What disappointed me most was the lack of ownership and professionalism. After spending nearly ₹25,000 for the stay, the only solution offered was to waive dinner charges worth around ₹3,000, which did not address the overall disappointment. I also requested a meeting with the General Manager to discuss my concerns, but this was never arranged.

This was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I have ever had. The purpose of this stay was to create a special and memorable experience for my wife during her pregnancy, but the hotel failed to deliver on the commitments made at the time of booking.

Given the significant gap between what was promised and what was actually delivered, I believe appropriate compensation should be considered by the hotel management. More importantly, I expect a sincere acknowledgment of these shortcomings and a commitment to ensuring that future guests do not face a similar experience.

Sadly, this experience fell far below the standards expected from a hotel of this reputation, and I left feeling disappointed and let down.

Clean and comfortable stay with a responsive staff. Food was great and the Khao Suey soup was one among the best I have had. Inside the Jindal township and that is worth the experience too!

If you are flying into the Jindal Vijaynagar airport, the Hyatt Hampi is incredibly convenient, though keep in mind it is still about a 1-hour drive to the main Hampi ruins.

Architecturally, the hotel is beautiful. The lobby is minimal yet striking, and the lounge areas on either side of the central sculpture are both comfortable and beautifully decorated. Tucked away on the ground floor is a nice little game room, and the pool is situated in a lush, quiet location well away from heavy foot traffic. The gym is also well-stocked. As for the rooms, they are very comfortable—featuring a great bed, a nice sofa, and a spacious bathroom. Housekeeping deserves a shoutout here; they do a fantastic job keeping everything clean and well-stocked.

The Service: A Tale of Two Teams
Our experience with the front desk was excellent. The receptionist was attentive, facilitated a smooth check-in, and made sure we got the specific room we had requested prior to arrival.

Unfortunately, the dining program was a massive disappointment. There is only one restaurant on the premise, and it feels completely unmanaged. It operates on a "seat yourself" basis, but because they are severely understaffed, you’ll likely end up sitting at a table piled with dirty dishes. After a long wait, you might get a server to take your order, though they tend to dash away before even offering water.

The service is largely run by inexperienced interns or recent graduates who lack the calm sophistication needed to handle tired guests. At one point, we actually had to listen to the staff argue right in front of us about how the tip would be divided (since one cleared the table and another brought water)—a conversation that absolutely belongs in private. It’s stressful and disinterested service, which hurts even more knowing a 5% service charge is already baked into the bill.

The Food
The menu itself is limited, overpriced, and surprisingly only features two local Karnataka dishes. That said, the food is flavorful but the curries taste similar. The breakfast spread is genuinely worth the inconvenience, and the dinner buffet we had offered a good mix of special, Indian, and continental dishes. However, the service issues persist here too: servers simply refuse to clear dirty dishes between courses. It honestly makes you wonder if it’s a tactic to discourage you from getting a new plate. For an international brand like Hyatt to run a restaurant like amateur hour really takes away from an otherwise beautiful property.

A Note on Sustainability/Tourism
On a final note, there is adequate onsite parking, which is heavily used by drivers accompanying guests. I really wish the hotel offered basic lodging for them. Seeing them forced to sleep in their cars rather than a proper bed is a sad reminder of the tougher realities behind Hampi’s tourism.

Our stay here was very comfortable , with a very supportive staff and delicious food. The Hotel is situated inside Vidyanagar town and has very good options for sight seeing nearby Hotel.

We had a fantastic stay at the hotel. The atmosphere was very pleasant, clean, and welcoming, making it a perfect place for families. It is especially great for kids, as there are plenty of activities and a safe, enjoyable environment for them to have fun. My children absolutely loved their time here and didn’t want to leave. The staff was friendly, attentive, and always ready to help, which made our experience even better. Overall, it was a comfortable and memorable stay, and we would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling with kids or looking for a relaxing getaway
