Very happy I picked this hotel, staff are super friendly and helpful, my room is clean and spacious with an amazing view of the river and the mountains(room41) free coffee, water and cake. They also have games with chess and a pool table etc a sauna which I didn’t know about and a garden at the back looking over the river. I will be returning to this hotel every time I’m back in Chamonix.
Excellent hotel!
The staff were really friendly and helpful and we made good use of the sauna room. Would book again.
Great views of the mountains when the weather permits. Great staff for local information.
Really nice variety for the breakfast.
Very nice accommodations to explore Chamonix
Wonderful garden, I could spend hours sitting in. Helpful and hospitable staff!
Nice hotel in great location on the river super helpful staff very reasonable prices great breakfast overall very happy with our stay
This is such a lovely hotel. It's centrally located. Rooms are very spacious with lots of storage. The staff is kind and accommodating. The breakfast is amazing! Don't skip it. I highly recommend.
Enjoyed our 2-night stay!! Friendly staff, comfortable rooms, nice breakfast!! Close to train station and numerous restaurants, shops and bars. Perfect location right on the river!!! Would definitely stay here again!
The hotel was old, smelly and there was no shower. Just a knee high shower head. Water temperature varied all the time. It smelt like a very old ski resort.
Amazing hotel, lovely 2 bed apartment with super new, high quality finish.
Great breakfast, access to free drinks/cake on arrival, nice games room, free parking, garden area next to river, couldn't fault the stay!
The only thing going well for this property is the location and the friendly staff at the front desk. We stayed in Room 35 from June 25-30 2025 and I couldn't wait to leave.
- We asked for a higher floor and a fan in the room while making the reservation; both of which were not available. Fan was provided from day 2 after having words with the receptionist on day 1.
- The floor in the toilet area was uneven and soft under my feet; I was greatful I didn't fall through! The toilet area had no sink; where am I supposed to wash my hands after? If I am to use the sink in the bathroom, then why bother separating the toilet from the entire bathroom?
- There were just 2 electrical outlets in the room; 1 in the bathroom and 1 behind the bedside table which was hard to get to. It was very difficult to charge our devices there.
- The tiles in the balcony were shaking under our feet; it was very easy to lose balance and fall there.
- The room was tiny ; there was insufficient space to store luggage, the street lights bothered us at night, breakfast was mediocre at best (no warm food; just processed food, bread, real honey and some whole fresh fruit).
We came from a fabulous stay at a 3 star hotel in Beckenried, Switzerland. This hotel should not be a 3 star by any stretch of imagination.
Loved staying here! Loved the sauna & outdoor area. Great location!
This is a lovely hotel, close to the central area of Chamonix. Breakfast was very good, with many options, including gluten free breads. We very much enjoyed our stay.
This was a comfortable "budget-friendly" (for Europe in the summer) hotel with a decent location (easily walkable to the train station, stores and restaurants, though further from the Chamonix Sud bus station everything seems to leave from). We had a two bedroom apartment which was clean and roomy. Main issue with the hotel was TOTAL LACK OF CLIMATE CONTROL. I appreciate that the weather was warmer than normal (highs in the 80s), but they really need to invest in some ceiling fans at a minimum, and AC in the bedrooms would be better. Extremely hot at night, windows lacked screens and didn't let in much air, noisy courtyard made for very poor sleeping conditions.
All good
Well located, comfortable beds, decent breakfast. Sadly moldy bathrooms and all a bit dated but ok for a night. Friendly and accommodating.
This hotel is in a perfect location in Chamonix. Only about 1 block from the main area, but far enough away so that it's quiet and peaceful. Super close to the restaurants and bars but not on top of them. Located right on the river, with a nice courtyard to sit in and enjoy the scenery. It's an older hotel, with no air conditioning, but very nicely maintained and clean. They have a water filling station in the lobby and cake as well for the guests. We were there during the race and there was a lot of activity at the hotel and in town. Everyone at the hotel was so nice! From check-in to departure, I had a lot of questions and they patiently answered every one of them. I wish I could remember their names, but Ophelie (?) at check-in was super nice. Another front desk individual helped with restaurant recommendations and which launderette to go to. I'm already planning on coming back in 2 years to run one of the races, and will definitely stay here again. One tip: spend the extra money to get one of the balcony rooms overlooking the river. It would probably help cool the room at night. We were there when the heat wave was on and that would help with the temperature. Overall a great visit!
Gorgeous! Memorable, great location, exceptional hospitality, and more. Three spacious rooms. We walked through town all the way to the cable car Aiguille du Midi. No need for car. We kept our car in lot at hotel no charge. Breakfast quite delicious and special.
The view from our room was the one on the website along the river with the mountains in the back ground. Hard to argue that was not outstanding. The room was dated but reasonable for the price. The staff was very helpful.
