My Recommended Lodge in Keystone.
Pros:

We loved looking out our bedroom window and could see Mtn Rushmore, Washington and part of Jefferson’s face!

Cons:

We suggest the bath rooms be remodeled. We asked for a walk in shower and there was only one in the Lodge.

Pros:

Nice hotel. However there was a wedding that took over the firepit and heavy foot traffic and door slamming next to our room. Kinda wished we had a chance to enjoy the scenery with the kids but there was too many intoxicated people. Other than that i would of rated them a 10.

Would of changed my dates if they told me an event was booked

Just loved the lodge. Great place to come back too to relax after visiting all the parks.

You’ll love Mt. Rushmore’s view
Pros:

Wow. Wow. Wow. We loved everything. The view. The view of Mt. Rushmore plus the view of it at night when they turn on the lights. The site was hosting a wedding and that was fun to see them get everything ready.

Cons:

We had to walk through the “Cheech and Chong” building to get to our room. It was a weed fest and quite comical that other guests didn’t go outside vs create contact buzzes for the whole building.

Good breakfast real silverware. Good location. Would rather have a room with a balcony.

Best place to stay in the area!
Pros:

We didn’t make it to breakfast in the AM but the coffee, tea and water in the main lodge was great and the views from there were perfect. The property was great and everyone was friendly. Clean and can see mt Rushmore!

Wonderful place to stay.
Pros:

Our room and the property was very peaceful and comfortable. The view of George was great. We were happy to visit the town that was so close by. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice too. Two nights was just too short of a visit.

I would not hesitate to stay again, if in the area. Would defiantly recommend to friends.
Pros:

Off the beaten path, no street noise. Loved that you could see the profile of George Washington lit up at night, even being a good distance away. I liked that they had a number of above ground hot tubs available. I enjoyed the warm cookies offered at the lodge in the evening. The free breakfast was above average, with cheese and salsa available for the eggs. The exterior has a nice look and appeal set in a beautiful forest setting.

Cons:

I would rather have a hot tub out in the opening, to enjoy the stars, rather than covered by the building structure. The road will hopefully be repaired, when the construction is done on the main road.

Perfect time!

We had a wonderful time at the gazebo an for breakfast on the patio every morning. Absolutely delightful!
