Revised Review- 5 star hotel - good customer service - poor spa experience
Pros:

The hotel is great. Nice big rooms and very clean. Great Wi-Fi..The location is not brilliant but there’s a metro station 3 mins away and a restaurant next door plus a shopping mall 30 mins away. The buffet breakfast is good. The hotel is let down by the spa. There was no shower gel in the shower. 3 members of the spa beauty team were in the sauna eating their lunch which then made it smell. I asked about the steam room which is located in the men’s changing room - there’s not one for ladies. The man who works there said he would put it on so I could use it but it smelled of mould so he put in some eucalyptus. When I finished I opened the door to be greeted by 4 naked men. I think he should have warned them I was in there. They looked angry and rightly so. The day before when I used the sauna there were 2 staff lying down with the door open. Maybe they could have their break elsewhere. The ladies changing room does provide free lockers but charge you 200 lira for a hat. There are no seats or benches to sit on whilst getting changed and no hook in the shower to hang your towel. The manager read my initial review and contacted me to apologise and said that he had inspected the SPA area and that it is out sourced to another company. He offered me a complimentary massage which I accepted. So 5 stars for the hotel but not for the spa thus far.

Awful!
Pros:

I forgot my wallet in my room, and the hotel kept it for one week before returning it to me. I am absolutely certain it contained USD 600, which I personally prepared for my trip and never used. When it was returned, the cash was missing.
The real failure was not just the missing money — it was the hotel’s response. Instead of taking responsibility, ensuring transparency, or protecting the guest’s rights, management chose to repeatedly defend a staff member’s five years of service.
A 5-star hotel is defined by accountability, not excuses. In this case, the hotel failed its guest. Travelers should think carefully before trusting this property with their valuables.

Pros:

The only issue you might have, if you get woken up easily, could be guests that never learned proper manners; cigarette smoke or noise from other rooms will come inside. Thankfully, the staff is understanding, and professional. Changing a room is not an issue, just a formality.
The location is superb: close to the metro (32 minutes to Mecidiyekoy), nearby restaurant (highly recommending sishane, right next to gas station) and mall (karadeniz) make up for a business area that Tekstilikent is. If you want something for a good value yet not expensive, this is the place.
