We recently completed our first stay at the Arthur Hotel in Jerusalem. It is conveniently located just off Ben Yehuda Street within easy walking distance to the Old City, the Shuk, and all the attractions and restaurants in downtown Jerusalem. The room was clean and well appointed. It included a coffee maker, small refrigerator, and a great shower.
This is a boutique hotel with a chic and friendly vibe. The public spaces are spotless and the front desk and dining room staff are there to help you immediately with any request you might have. The hotel provides a full Israeli breakfast and the staff will quickly serve you any requested dish or specialty coffee on request. Unique to hotels in Israel, there is an afternoon Happy Hour from 5-7 PM with wine, soft drinks, and hot and cold appetizers. The overall value provided by this hotel is outstanding!
I cannot talk about the warmth and welcoming nature of this hotel without mentioning Ayala Dekel, the General Manager. Ayala makes sure that every guest is made to feel special and appreciated. I know her more than 15 years and can honestly say that the excellence of the Arthur Hotel is a reflection of her hard work and dedication to ensuring that every guest enjoys their stay. I highly recommend this hotel the next time you are in Jerusalem.
The location, the happy hour
Understaffed, a bit crowded, average breakfast
