Hotel Le Chateau

To much heat because of frequent power outage and their generator can on run for a few hours.

I chose this hotel because of its location next to the airport, free wifi and airport shuttle. My driver warned that the neighborhood was very unsafe but I chose to stay in any case. The hotel was ok, you really can't expect more for the price and the staff were very friendly. The rooms were ok but the bathrooms were not great, missing toilet seat and only 1 small towel. The wifi wasn't working at all, they said it had gone off that morning and it was a network issue, perhaps it wasn't their fault but still annoying none the less. The biggest disappointment was when I came to get the airport shuttle bus. I spoke to the reception who tried to call the driver but he had left his phone at reception. He said that he had gone to the airport to drop someone off but had no idea how long he might be. He eventually said that I should take a taxi, for which I didn't want to do and didn't want to pay for but I had little choice as there was still no sign of the bus...

It started badly the moment she arrived at the Hotel late in the afternoon. I had booked 2 nights stay for her and we both received conformation emails from hotels.com for the booking but the hotel didn't. The lady at reception was refusing her and she wanted me too cancel the booking, but after speaking to the manager and getting the hotels email address and sending the booking email through hotels.com she was given a room, finally.!!! There were problems with the hot water so it was a cold shower for my Girlfriend, which was never fixed. Also she had trouble with the wifi in her room but it worked in the lobby area. She had too wait over an hour for dinner but at least the food was okay. The room wasn't clean and the mattress was smelly. Very disappointed and not worth the $75 per night for a dirty n smelly room with a horrible view of the Neighbourhood. The only good thing was it's close too the airport. Not recommended at all and not booking a room there ever again not for even $20 per night. Stay away from this place.

I book our flight and confirmed with expedia but when I go to the airport there where no reservation for us. I was shock and have to buy another ticket in cash at the airport. Now when I got to the Hotel it was in the very dangerous area. No breakfast at early morning. The hotel was dirty all over without proper bathing towel. nothing nice at all.

The location is a place where one could get easily robbed.
The room was not prepared before the arrival of the guests.
Electrical installations in the room are not safe.
It is really not a hotel that merits more than 1/2 star!!!

PRO: Good economic choice when on transit in Douala because of its proximity to the airport: the availability of an airport shuttle is very much appreciated especially for flights taking off in the middle of the night or very early in the morning.
CON: Average quality of the bed; Neighborhood not very hospitable with muddy and dark street in the evening, and lack of access to a reliable alternative restaurant. I did not like the food in the restaurant of the hotel.

wonderfull; very friendly and helpful people

I like the personnel, they are very nice to client, however the public bathroom was not well taking care of, there were water splash everywhere on the floor you can place your feet/shoes in the water. The room service was great. no toilette paper in the bathroom. you have to ask to get one.Only one towel was given for three guests.

I frankly did not like the hotel at all, for what we get, it is expensive. The hotel is in a bad shape especially toilets which I think are very important. Toilets should be renovated. Besides that, the bed is good and we can sleep well. It looks a bit poor for what we pay.

Sometimes they arrange wedding parties at the hotel and that night it is difficult to sleep due to loud music. The window curtains were lying on a sofa. However helpful staff.

hôtel , pratique car proche aéroport , ils ont malgré une reservation , oublié de venir me chercher a l'aeroport . sinon correct , connexion internet lente.
