I didn’t like that I had to pay for the hotel again because booking did not send confirmation of the reservation and payment made and that our room was way in the back and had no view

The staff was rude. I was lied to several times before arriving about parking and price talked to the asst manager but she kept calling me a liar. I reported her and others to corporate. Normally I just let things go but being called a liar didn’t set well to me. We had issues with staff at both Marriott properties. I’ve been a member for years with my business and never once complained.

Friendly, helpful staff and good food/drinks in the bistro area. The bistro is far beyond what one might expect from a hotel in this price range and the staff were attentive and kind. The patio and pool areas were also surprisingly upscale.
Location is perfect if you want to be on the seawall, but away from the crowds and traffic further east. Close to public access points for the western beaches.
My only reason for not giving this hotel a 5/5 rating is that I did not find the bed and pillows to be quite comfortable. For my taste, the bed was too soft and the pillows were too firm. However, this would not keep me from returning giving the high quality of other amenities and excellent staff.
We booked a package titled “The Perfect Cruise Experience”. It was anything but.
The elevators from the garage was broken causing us to lug all our bags up a steep dow/up ramp to the lobby. We were allowed to park our vehicle there for the week we were on the cruise. A free shuttle was advertised but since it had limited availability we would have had to wait 3 hours to take us 8 miles to the cruise port. We took an Uber to the port.
The room was comfortable. Spartan, but adequate with a loud wall mount A/C unit.
A $20 credit was part of the package to use in the minimal coffee shop. We bought two coffees and were charged over $15. No credit applied, the charge was added to our bill.
At the termination of the cruise, the shuttle was to pick us up. It was a “no show”. We took an Uber back to retrieve our vehicle.
This was a poor showing by Marriott and after communicating with the front desk, they indicated it would all be taken care of by the manager. So far, nothing has been done. We do NOT recommend hotel for your pre- or post- cruise stay. There are better properties at a lower price rate.
Hotel seems clean and staff nice. Floor noise is loud so get a room on the upper floor. No breakfast included however they do have a kitchen. The prices are outrageous. Also, this motel is far from restaurants so plan on spending a lot on transportation. Probably better to pay higher price on motel where you can walk to shop or eat. The gym is nice. Two treadmills but only one works. Same for elliptical only one of two works. Overall I would pass because of location and no breakfast.

Breakfast did not have anything on the menu card. We were the first customers and were out on many things that listed. Staff looked like they were not happy. receptionist was gone for too long when we were rushing to check out.

That it was across the street from the Gulf. It was beautiful during the day.
The toilet leaked (towels were used to keep from flooding the bathroom. The refrigerator had food from previous guest(s). The only charger was on the couch away from the bed. So, had to pull the night stand out only to see that it was filthy. You could not see the Gulf at night because the parking lot lights were so bright. The night desk charged my card $40 at 11:30pm. I called and inquired about the charge. He stated that it was in the fine print that they charge $20/day for incidentals. However, I was only stating one night. When I brought that to his attention, he said he guessed he looked at the guest count instead of the number of nights. I was not told at check-in that my card was being charged. At check-in the front desk gentleman just stated it was in case of incidentals (which is usual at other hotels).
For the price and the company name, I expected much better.
The shower had no water pressure. But other than that, everything excellent.
