Would not stay again
Pros:

This was the worst hotel amongst the many hotels we stayed in during our month long tour of Turkey. We arrived at midnight and the staff who received us were very nice and helpful. They carried our bags to the room and gave us information on the breakfast and even brought a fridge and put it in the room. The room was spacious but the mattresses were soft and thin with very less bed linen and no extra sheets to cover up. Their was a very bad odour of sewage in the bathroom. When we went to get breakfast the person who was filling up the food was also cleaning the tables. At one stage I noticed him carrying bread with his bare hands. This was the last straw. We immediately booked at the Hilton and checked out. The Manager insisted on the full payment for 3 days, as he said that he would have to pay hotels.com the full commission. As we were keen to get away from there ASAP, we agreed to whatever we were asked to pay and left the hotel. I must add that the staff here were very nice and friendly, however, the hotel needs a big upgrade.

Not the old Edessa in Sanliurfa!
Pros:

For those who have visited Sanliurfa in years past, the Edessa was a fine, traditional hotel with a view of the historic mosque. Unbeknownst to be when I booked, that hotel has changed its name and the "new Edessa" barely qualifies for the name "hotel". It is more like a rooming house with no features whatsoever. Rooms have a decent bed and a decent toilet. That is really it. There is a shower with no curtain and only occasional hot water. The breakfast provided is the worst I have ever had in any Turkish hotel. Towels were not routinely provided. When I first arrived, I was told that there were no rooms, even though it was only about 6:30 pm and the room had been guaranteed by Expedia. Upon realizing this, the management hastily put together a room with the promise of a better room the next day. They did put us into another room the next day. The room was identical, except for artificial flowers placed at the bedside. The management did try. Unfortunately, they had little to work with.

nice hotel close to the visitworthy places
Pros:

We spent there 3 nights and we enjoyed our time there. Even so, we sometimes experienced power cut and there was no hot water. Internet connection is not too great.

Great Location
Pros:

Excellent location in the centre of the Old Town opposite the bazaar. Enjoy the somewhat noisy Turkish street cabaret from your balcony!
Not the Hilton but the room is big and the shower works well with plenty of hot water. Spoilt by a dirty carpet. Tiles and rugs would be better.
Good buffet breakfast
Hotel organised personal tour of Gobekli Tepe which was very good
