1828 Smart Hotel

This hotel is a tremendous find. The room and the service are exceptional. The location is perfect. It's one of the finest places we've ever stayed.

This hotel is at an excellent location right in Palermo neighborhood and very close to some of the best restaurants and shopping. The hotel is small and quaint with around 20 rooms and has an excellent breakfast that goes till 12pm !…. And a pool, room service and workout room that is 24 hrs !!!….

But overall the best reason to stay here is the staff. They have the BEST staff incredibly helpful, caring and friendly folks…. Loved the front desk person - Horacio and Mariana / Ojenea at the bar / breakfast. I have been traveling over 30 years across the world and I have not found a better more attentive team as in the hotel. Just the very best !….

Excellent stay and this beautiful hotel in a great location. Loved enjoying their pool and great breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were lovely and clean.

Spent the first and last part of our BA visit at the 1828. This hotel is in a GREAT location for bars/restaurants and the staff couldn't be more accommodating. It is that sort of personal service that leads us to book at boutique rather than large scale hotels. Each day a new sweet treat was brought, loved that. They allowed us to come back and shower in their spa area for a late flight out of EZE. Although the rooms (we stayed in both suites) were nice, there is a need for deferred maintenance and some freshening of paint. Apparently the large sliding doors to the patio aren't waterproof at the base, causing the curtains to water stain, they need to be elevated from meeting the floor and cleaned/replaced. Largest issue was with the little work out area, which would have been fine if the equipment worked. The adjustable dumbbells couldn't be "adjusted" making them unusable and the treadmill simply didn't work at all.

This is a perfect boutique hotel in Palermo, ideally situated to explore the city. The pool was lovely, the breakfasts delicious (omelets and Eggs Benedict are included), and the service top notch. We had the top floor suite with a balcony and truly enjoyed the outdoor bathtub too.

The staff made this one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had in a long time. Loved it here. Will stay again next time!

If you are looking to be in Palermo Soho amongst the great restaurants and shops, you can’t do better than 1828 Smart Hotel. The staff were friendly, the breakfast delicious and the beds super comfortable. I will definitely stay there again next time I am in town.

It obviously was a small boutique hotel but the management was very welcoming and helpful. We stayed there only for a night but had a good experience overall.

An absolute gem of a hotel, 5 ⭐ and more! Small boutique feel, staff are really friendly and helpful, and it's located in a great part of the trendy Palermo suburb with plentiful eating and shopping on its doorstep. The hotel were really accommodating with early flight arrivals and late departure.

My name is Lesley Francis and together with my family, Adrian, Mark, Evie, Henry and Sam, we stayed recently at your excellent and stylish boutique hotel for eight nights. Your hotel, reception staff and bar staff exceeded all our expectations. They couldn’t have done more for us, both to make us feel welcome and to help us find the area in Santa Catalina where my husband, Adrian’s, Scottish ancestors arrived to settle exactly 200 years ago. Of particular mention are the front desk staff, Bruno, Horatio and Hernan, and also the bar staff, Lucia and Naomi, all of whom were so kind and helpful.😁
The stylish decor is beautiful. We felt very much at home, relaxing both inside and in the pool area. My grandson particularly loved the pool.
We very much look forward to returning to stay with you again soon. Thank you, Lesley and the family.

Facilities in good shape. Very quiet. Dining and some shopping close by. Service for breakfast and things to do great!

Nice hotel which is very secure. Rooms are small however comfortable. Shower is wonderful and good bathroom amenities. Nice touch of having a treat in our room each day after housekeeping.
Breakfast is lovely and there is a nice bar/lounge for relaxing in.
Staff were nice although it would have been helpful for them to go through all the wonderful amenities they have around the building as we read they have a spa and gym although we didn't see these. Benefits indicated for Gold members were also not provided. That being said, a very nice hotel and the neighbourhood has plenty of bars and restaurants.

I stayed here for a week on my trip to Buenos Aires in July 2025. The service was impeccable, the bed was very comfortable, and everyone who worked at the hotel, even the rotating doormen, were so kind and thoughtful. I also used the sauna and it was wonderful and extremely relaxing. Also, they accommodated a late check out for me with no charge, which was so convenient since I had a business meeting. I could use my room instead of having to go to a café. This is a Michellin star hotel for a reason; I cannot recommend it highly enough. If I ever come back to Buenos Aires, I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Staff service was excellent.

Such a beautiful little boutique hotel. I absolutely loved the breakfast, especially the fact that it is available until 12 pm. The outdoor amenities don't seem to be used much by guests so they were kind of unattended to but still a great place to sit and read. The staff were really helpful and make sure your stay is very comfortable.
