Goldfinch Hotel Mumbai

If you’re planning to book the Goldfinch banquets for an important function then beware, it can turn into a total disaster.

We had booked the banquets for hosting an afternoon wedding reception. At sharp 1 pm in the peak crowd and heat time the entire banquet lost its electricity/power leaving everyone stranded inside in the dark and hot conditions.
We expected the back up generator to kick in but guess what? They do not have a back up !! They rushed in electricians who took more than an HOUR to fix this issue all
And the while the crowd stood in the heated hall in darkness while The bride groom and family stood in the stairs hoping to get a proper answer and fix. The managers of the banquet Arun Selvraj and his senior stood there clueless with no answers other than saying sorry.
Let this sink in… the banquet did not have a power back up.
To add to it.. the food caterers kept pressing us to wrap up our reception despite all the delay caused by the hotel incompetency. We had booked two rooms for the couple and there as well despite all this delay and horrible experience the hotel had the nerve to call us and ask us to vacate the rooms sharp at their check out time.
Everything that could have gone wrong went wrong. We hired a Dj and gave him a playlist and he messed that up too.

Horrendous experience.

We will be taking this up to the consumer court and are exploring legal options to claim damages and or refunds.

Best to stay away and save yourself from this sorry experience on an important occasion.

At Goldfinch, I feel homely because the staff is very friendly, cooperative, caring and makes the stay very comfortable specially Ms Dipshikha, Jyoti and Gulshan. Very kind and hospitality at its peak. I recommend this hotel for business and personal stay.

Good and clean rooms.

I had a wonderful experience during my stay. The staff was extremely helpful and always greeted me with a smile. The airport pickup and drop service was smooth and convenient. The food was delicious, and the rooms were spotless. Special appreciation to Apresh for his cheerful attitude and excellent assistance. Definitely recommend!
