Location was amazing. The hotel is So close to ferries, water taxis & all water transport to explore beautiful Lake Como. Restaurants, bars & town attractions are all a short & scenic stroll from the Hotel.

Location is perfect: right next to the water, close to the ferry terminal, and a 10-minute walk from the train station. Our room was great, with a private terrace and a view of the water and ferries. They provided us with a champagne, and we loved it. They have a good breakfast menu, and the live kitchen is amazing.

Staff is excellent: knowledgeable and helpful, especially in helping us deal with the airline (ITA) in tracking a lost bag. We stayed in the Annex, which I recommend. The rooms are large, modern, comfortable, spotless, and equipped with top-notch air conditioning -- a necessity in the summer. We had 2 rooms, both with views of the lake and outdoor terrace. The location is super convenient: right by the ferry dock and slightly removed from the crowds in the center of town.
The wifi was often very slow and stopped functioning completely several times. If the Annex is too far away from the router, the signal needs a serious boost with better equipment. When the wifi was out, we were invited to use the hotel dining room where the signal was stronger. The decor is rather spartan, and Room 103 needs better lighting -- it's too dark. The terraces have no shade, so they can't be used during hot summer days.

This was the perfect place for us. The location is ideal just in front of the ferry terminal and only 7-8 minutes walk to the town square. We would have preferred a room with a private balcony but none were available when we booked. We were in the annex and the room was very comfortable and had beautiful views. Although we were in close proximity to the ferry terminal and the train station, it was very peaceful and quiet at night. The hospitality and the friendliness of the owners and the staff were great. The included breakfast was delicious. You could not beat the location of the terrace for the exclusive use of the hotel guests during breakfast time. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it.
The A/C shut off on its own 2 of the 3 nights we were there despite us not opening the windows. We realized it only once the room started getting hot. We were able to turn it back on but it took a while to cool back down. It still never got quite cool to our preference as we like to sleep in a cooler environment. But it was still ok and not serious enough for us to give the hotel a lower score. Because, everything was excellent and beyond our expectations 👌

Es ist nicht störend.Man kann direkt mit dem Schiff alle gewünschten Orte anfahren.

Hotel is in a fabulous location, right opposite the ferry port.
We had a large room in the annex with a huge terrace that provided great views.
Hotel is family run and nothing is too much trouble for them.
We stayed 3 nights and ate on the restaurant terrace for 2 of those as the food was so good.
My only niggle is despite having a huge terrace we good not use it for much of the day as it was too hot so maybe an awning would provide some shade allowing it be utilised more.
Location and staff
The owner Titti and her son Luigi were always present and most helpful. They made sure everything was perfect. Our room in the recently renovated annex was modern , clean with good airconditioning and a great view. I strongly recommend. And the adjacent restaurant Locanda was best in Varenna.
