Fit our needs and was well located

Dear Booking.com Customer Service,
I hope you are doing well. I am writing to formally submit a complaint regarding our recent stay at Hotel Palacio Astoreca, which we booked through your platform.
We chose this hotel with great enthusiasm, as we were looking for a special place to celebrate our marriage. Unfortunately, our experience fell significantly short of the expectations we had for such an important occasion.
During our two-day stay, we experienced extremely hot weather, and our room did not have air conditioning or any adequate ventilation or cooling system to maintain a comfortable temperature. As a result, the room became excessively hot and uncomfortable, which was particularly disappointing considering that we had booked and paid for a premium category room, expecting a higher standard of comfort.
In addition, the bathtub drain in the bathroom was clogged, which caused clear inconvenience during our stay.
Another situation that caused considerable frustration occurred during breakfast. On one occasion, we arrived approximately one or two minutes after the scheduled closing time, and despite the minimal delay, we were not offered any alternative to access the service. While we understand the importance of respecting operational schedules, in our experience at other hotels there is usually some degree of flexibility and guest-oriented judgment in situations like this.
Finally, we had reserved the SPA in advance, and we were initially informed that the time slot had been properly booked. However, a few hours later the reception contacted us to inform us that the reservation had actually been assigned to other guests due to an internal mistake. This was particularly disappointing, as the SPA was one of the activities we were most looking forward to during our stay.
I would like to clarify that my intention is not to generate controversy or publish negative reviews. I fully understand that operational errors can occur.

Pros:

Nos encantó el hotel, la relación precio/calidad mejor de lo esperado, todas sus dependencias espectaculares, la habitación hermosa, cómoda, acogedora en general todo muy lindo, el spa maravilloso, el desayuno uno de los mejores que hemos tenido y la atención muy buena, también lo que nos gustó muchísimo fue el restaurant italiano que tiene el hotel, exquisito!

Perfect location, in a well-redecorated building. Very helpful staff, like Nicolás and others.

Cons:

My room was comfortable, but not well outfitted. Bathroom lacked what one expects at this price level, and basic things like a window curtain to hide the shower from the neighbours. They have a good restaurant, but keep it closed two days a week. My impression is top management / owners don’t have experience of the detailed care a hotel at this price level has to give guests. Of course if it charged quite less I wouldn’t object. As it is, it is poor vfm.
