Hanoi Ancient Paradise Hotel

The location was perfect for our first trip to Hanoi. We could easily walk around the Old Quarter and find food, markets and attractions nearby. The staff were helpful whenever we had questions.

For a first-time visitor to Hanoi, we thought this was a very practical place to stay. The Old Quarter can be confusing when you first arrive, so being within walking distance of markets, restaurants and the night market was extremely useful. The staff were also happy to help whenever we were unsure about where to go. After a few days we became

We booked this hotel mainly because of the location and price, so we weren't expecting too much. It ended up exceeding our expectations in several ways. The interior was much more attractive than we expected, the room choices were good and the breakfast had plenty of variety. Most importantly, the staff were genuinely friendly. It isn't a five-star luxury hotel, but the level of care we received sometimes felt closer to what we would expect from a more expensive property.

As international travelers, we found the hotel very easy to navigate. The team were welcoming, communication was straightforward and they were happy to answer questions about getting around Hanoi. We also liked the fact that the hotel seemed to have guests from many different countries. It created a relaxed atmosphere where everyone was there for the same reason — to experience Hanoi. The central location was ideal for that, especially if you enjoy exploring independently.

We wanted to stay somewhere that felt connected to Hanoi rather than in a modern business district, and this hotel gave us exactly that. The surrounding streets are lively, noisy and full of local food and shops, which is part of the experience of staying in the Old Quarter. Inside, the Indochine-inspired sisign created a much calmer atmosphere. We liked that contrast between the busy streets outside and the cozy hotel inside.

The staff gave us some genuinely useful suggestions about places to eat and things to see nearby. Rather than giving generic tourist recommendations, they were happy to explain what might suit us based on what we were looking for. That personal advice saved us quite a bit of time. Combined with the central location, it made exploring Hanoi much easier. The hotel itself is comfortable and nicely designed, but for us, the friendliness and local knowledge of the staff were the biggest advantages.

Depuis l’hôtel, nous pouvions facilement rejoindre le marché Dong Xuan ainsi que de nombreuses rues et adresses où manger qui rendent le Vieux Quartier si intéressant. Nous n’avions pas besoin d’organiser un transport chaque fois que nous voulions sortir dîner ou simplement faire une promenade le soir. Après une journée de visites, c’était agréable de retrouver un endroit confortable pour se reposer. L’emplacement pratique et l’accueil sympathique du personnel ont vraiment rendu notre séjour beaucoup plus simple et agréable.

The hotel has a good location, comfortable rooms, attractive Indochine-inspired interiors and, most importantly, a very friendly team. We particularly appreciated how helpful the staff were whenever we needed something. The breakfast was varied and included both Asian and Western food. There are a few small areas where the property could be improved, but nothing that significantly affected our stay. Considering the three-star category and the price, we thought the quality and service were very good.

The hotel isn't the kind of place that tries to impress with huge public spaces or flashy decoration. Instead, it has a cozy and characterful atmosphere. We particularly liked the Indochine details throughout the property, which felt appropriate for the Old Quarter. Our room was comfortable and the common areas were pleasant. The staff added to the atmosphere because they were consistently warm and approachable. It felt like a comfortable base for exploring the city rather than simply a place to sleep.
