Upon checking in, informed receptionist aircon in room was not working. Told them we were going out until late but happy if we have to change room. When we got back (around midnight), was asked if I discover the aircon was still faulty, i was to call reception from bedroom. There was no phone in the bedroom so I had to go back downstairs to reception to inform them that aircon was still faulty. They were not able to change our room because they were full that night. In the end, we were given 2 fans & was told if we have a poor nights sleep, the room rate will be fully refunded to us. I had a very poor sleep. Fan was noisy and temperatures the room was stuffy. I hardly slept so the next morning, I told them what was promised to us should I have a disturbed sleep. I was then told that a refund would not be possible since I have already stayed the night. Plus when I complained about not having a phone in my room, I was then told it’s being phased out and QR codes are used instead. It’s not my fault the night staff were not aware of that change.
Finally, I was offered 50% refund & if I accepted that, the money will be refunded to me in 2 days. To get a full refund, I would have to wait 28 days. I chose 28 days.
I am not convinced that refund will happen but we shall see. I was very disappointed with how the situation was dealt with & the attitude I received. Communication between the day and night staff was very poor and it felt like what was mentioned to me the night before was incorrect information where they cannot honour until I insisted on getting what was promised by the night Team leader/ manager.

Breakfast was excellent all a good stay only downside we didn’t have a working tv even though staff did try to sort it also offered us another room but we chose to stay put

We thought it was a bit far from restaurants & bars ... until we found out the tram was just 5 mins walk & 2 stops to Bull Ring.
good location and good value for money, staff were very nice and helpful and the breakfast was great
put us in the wrong room to start with no other bed so then had to move after i tried to get out the sofa bed but it was broken. moved room and the aircon when turned on had a constant stream of fluid leaking onto the floor. I put my registration in to get the discount for parking yet when i turned up to the car it didn’t work so i had to pay full price.
