The Hotel was beautiful and the spa was wonderful. Great location. The bathroom has a large lovely bathtub. It was October and cold. I tried to run the bath and the water was only warm. Odd, because the shower was hot. I called about it. I also stopped by the front desk. They said they would send someone. We were there 3 nights. The problem was not solved and I didn't get to take a long hot bath. Very dissapointing.
Hotel is beautiful overall and the staff were 5 stars all the way. It does feel more targeted to the business/corporate traveler than a couple or family stays. Rooms are large but not great layouts. Lots of wasted space, poor storage for both clothing/luggage and next to no bathroom counter space. Rooms are quite dark and just feels like it was designed without comfort in mind. The pool/spa and gym area were very nice. Breakfast was fantastic and lots of amazing restaurants everywhere ( special mention to the Old Spot for dinner, absolutely amazing ). A fair amount of construction around so not ideal and vehicle travel can be quite slow.
The bar had an extensive selection of gin! The martini I ordered with Irish gin was intriguing. A lovely place for a business trip.
It was overall a good experience. Nicely finished hotel in a good location. We didn’t appreciate we had to book access to the hotel roof top bar and so were turned away on our first night. The hotel worked to get us a spot the second night. There were a few small issues such as maintenance were working on our bathroom fittings when we arrived back one day to go out for dinner which delayed us a bit - some pre notification might have been useful. At breakfast it took a long time to get milk and butter delivered for tea/coffee and toast. Butter in particular was hard to source. Having some out to lift would be much easier than having to wait for waiter service to get it. Breakfast food was excellent and overall I’d recommend it but I’m not sure I would stay again myself. Hence the 4 stars rather than 5
The bed was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and had a large bathtub. The amenities were excellent. However, the view from the window was rather unexciting, with only a parking lot visible.
Very nice facility. Check in was very slow. Arrived at 2:30 and couldn’t get into the room till after 4:30. Room was very nice. In the morning the Continental breakfast was $36euro. Coffee was only $6 euro. Oh, I forgot the drink while we waited to get into our room was only $ 19 E for a cocktail.if these prices don’t scare you, it’s a nice place.
Good
We had such a wonderful time, will be back!
We booked a room for two after an airport security incident when numerous flights were cancelled. Part of our family traveling with a toddler were told their room at another hotel was no longer available. They came to Anantara The Marker and the staff there found them a room and made sure the toddler had a drink and snack
We had to wait 90 minutes after check in to get our room.
Beautiful hotel with impeccable service. Staff was very accomodating.
Really enjoyed the professional and helpful staff.
Overall loved the quietness and spaciousness of the room. Pointers for consideration: soft lid close for toilet; concierge desk/person seemed a little unfocused and not the level we were expecting- though friendly; do we need to see a line of room cleaners when we leave in the morning, probably not.
.
I want to commend Anantara, The Marker Dublin, on how wonderful their staff is.
My husband and I recently stayed with our friends for ten days. Both of us couples were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversaries.
From our first greeting at the door by Kevin, welcoming us cheerfully to our stay - to the service staff; Emily in the mornings on the patio, Yuvinska and Carlos in the Lounge, Alex in the Lounge and Rooftop Bar. Max the Sommelier in the main dining room was informative and pleasant. All were friendly, gracious and attentive.
Derek’s mini tour and daily exchanges were interesting and entertaining. A true gentleman was Derek.
All of the staff, and especially the ones I mention here, made our extended stay all the better. We ate and enjoyed beverages daily in the lounge and on the patio.
I would highly recommend The Marker Dublin to anyone without hesitation.
Lovely modern facility
Very nice and comfortable
Nice hotel slightly away from the rowdiness of Temple Bar
Breakfast service left a bit to be desired.
Classy hotel. Love the spa.
