Nice needs a few tweaks
Pros:

Food at evening meal really nice. Bed was lovely and comfortable especially pillows. Food on night waitress was on the ball.

Cons:

I’m afraid bedroom floor and windowsill were dirty as if not cleaned. One small towel had a brown stain on it. And toilet had toilet roll in it and no not us. Also used toilet roll inner tube on floor in bathroom. Breakfast bacon too hard over cooked sausage not good. Mushroom not nice. Service I’m afraid in breakfast room and bar a bit slow. Coffee Luke. warm. Had seafood platter lunchtime and I’m afraid cod cheeks very chewy.

A perfect family stopover!
Pros:

The location was o poo regency fir us on our drive north. We appreciated a family room that accepted our dog too. It was a little cosy but exactly what we needed.
The staff was friendly, efficient and welcoming.
We ate very well in the bar. The menu was varied and good quality. I can particularly recommend the vegetarian wellington!

Nothing not to like.
