Exceptionally friendly and welcoming staff. Delicious evening meal (especially the pie).
Breakfast is quite pricey
Service, food and accommodation was great.
Lovely room with great facilities, especially the extensive tea and coffee making selection (including oat milk options). Great evening menu with huge portions (too big for me!) and not overpriced.
My room was a "cozy room" and had a bathroom with sloping roof (and door to match). It was almost impossible to have a shower in the bath unless you're very short (I am, but I still didn't fancy my chances). The bath was lovely though. If you were over about 5ft 5 you would struggle to stand up in most of the bathroom.
Everything. Great staff, attentive, courteous, polite and very professional. Great food, well prepared and extremely tasty with unexpectedly short delays between courses, especially considering how busy the restaurant was. Wonderful atmosphere in both the pub and the restaurant and obviously popular with the locals. All in all a superb visit.
We had the family room which, as a bedroom, was great, but there was no seating. A couple of chairs would make a tremendous difference and this is the only reason we didn't give the full 10/10.
The warm welcome, the staff, the breakfast

It is situated in a quiet village adjoined to a fantastic pub serving food
Nothing
Breakfast was yummy all food was great . I finished my meal around 9.15 with friends and was told at9..25pm last orders I asked for a baileys coffee the machine was turned off . When I booked I was led to believe my table had a 2 hr slot from 7.30 pm to 9.30 pm .i found this most unsatisfactory.
Notification that the pub shuts at 9.30 pm .
VERY FRESH AND COOKED TO ORDER. SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT AND VERY FRIENDLY.
MORE CHOICE ON ENGLISH BREAKFAST. WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER TO HAVE HAD A CHOICE OF CONTENTS. WE DON'T LIKE MUSHROOMS BUT WOULD HAVE LIKED BLACK PUDDING. CONSIDER GIVING MORE CHOICE.
The Hotel itself was spot on,just in the middle of nowhere could do with a local shop, the food I had of the menu was very nice however there could be a bit more choice on the menu.
Friendly and attentive Staff. small thing but one that makes all the difference.
Very Good Food, well rounded menu not over the top which usually means everything is prepared on site. (which hopefully means that very little arrives ready made on the back of a lorry)
Nothing of note, except our bathroom did have a wobbly toilet seat, other than that everything was tip, top.
Nicely located country pub.
Excellent.
Excellent food
Warm room
Dog friendly
Welcoming staff in evening
Hostess in morning was not over friendly which was a shame.
Could have done with a coffee top
Up at breakfast
Amazing food; very clean room; very pleasant staff.
Bathroom was very cold, even though the heated radiator was hot in there.
