Based on what was advertised on booking dot com verses in person arrival was not the same.

Rooftop-Restaurant. Badezimmer.
Liegt in einer schäbigen Baustellengegend. Wir hatten das Deluxe Zimmer unten neben der Rezeption, das extrem dunkel und sehr laut war. Das Haus renoviert, aber wirkt trotzdem oll und muffig, Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist wirklich eine Unverschämtheit. Insgesamt ist Stone Town einfach furchtbar, wäre unser Flug nicht morgens um 8 Uhr gegangen, hätten wir auch nicht hier übernachtet. Ich würde das vermeiden. Es gibt nicht wirklich etwas zu sehen, es ist sehr laut (u.a. ein Iman übertönt den anderen auch nachts), es ist dreckig und die Menschen sind extrem aufdringlich, man kann kaum einen Schritt machen, ohne ununterbrochen ,angesprochen‘ zu werden. Sehr schade als Erfahrung des letzten Tages einer Reise.

What a grand place…..very nice staff that was always helpful and friendly…. The rooms are very large and comfortable….the aircon was wonderful because it does tend to get a bit humid outside…. I stayed for 3 days always getting a lovely breakfast to start the morning…
They put me in contact with a guide “Jackson” who took me around to all the great shops to make sure I didn’t have to carry a heavy wallet and on a trip to prison island for the day

Es war alles sehr sauber und schön eingerichtet. Das Hotel Personal war unglaublich freundlich.
Das Abendessen musste ich vorbestellen. Es war köstlich. Alkohol wird dort nicht gereicht, aber man kann sich Wein oder Bier zum Essen mitbringen.
Ich hatte ein paar Probleme mit dem WLAN. Es gibt wohl ein Zimmer, das bekanntlich einen schlechten oder eher kleinen Empfang hat. Daraufhin wurde mir ein neues Zimmer angeboten, was ich aber nicht mehr in Anspruch genommen habe.
A lovely small boutique hotel, with a lovely big room and bathroom including a bath! Right on the heart of Stone Town, very close to the harbour where you can get a boat to the various island. Staff exceptional, breakfast lovely, evening meal delicious with live local music. Highly recommend.
