PERFECT FOR THIS MIDDLE AGE CHEF

I felt safe & comfortable with my stay

I can tell you it is Historic Property so
Personal Heat & AC units are not in Rooms
Something Average person might want to call & check on before choosing
But with the weather I had while there .

Not what we hoped for.
Pros:

We recently stayed at the Jones Beach Hotel, though I wouldn’t quite describe it as a traditional hotel—it felt more like a motel or B&B.
On a positive note, the bed and sheets were very clean, which we definitely appreciated. The staff was also friendly during our limited interactions.
However, the overall experience didn’t match our expectations. The photos online felt somewhat misleading compared to the room we received. It was clearly not one of the updated or better-furnished rooms. For example, the table appeared to be made of particle board with two plastic chairs and a tablecloth over it, and the bed frame felt very basic—something you might find at IKEA.
Considering the price we paid, it didn’t feel like a good value, and that was disappointing. Aside from the cleanliness and kind staff, the biggest issue was that the room didn’t reflect what was advertised.

Over priced, not what we expected from the photos.

A quick one night get-a-way we like to do about once a year
Pros:

This hotel is a throwback to a golden age, it is an old, small boutique hotel. That's why we love it. We are actually local but go about once a year as a little stay-cation.

Except for the excessive heat, the place was very clean and quiet.

The hotel is old. The room was musty and moldy. The floor was uneven. The bathroom smelled bad. There was no stopper in the sink. The table was uneven. There was no luggage rack or amenities. There was no elevator.
