Check in was something ive never experienced before with no reception and having to find the room by phoning Martin; i assume to be the manager, for direction and have him text the door codes to me.
He was very helful; I cant fault his support.
The room was very basic, with rough dated decore and furniture.
The door to the room was thin with an unusable bolt, anyone using nearbye rooms could easily be heard, thankfully they were well behaved.
The curtains were so thin and let day light in and the nets were torn.
The grounds and entrance were very unkempt, including a dirty stack of chairs and an overflowing bucket of water and cigarette butts, near the main entrance.
The bed mattress was uncomfortable with springs easily felt.
However, the bedding and towels were nice and clean and the room was gloriously warm.
I wont stay again.
No shops nearby
Key less accommodation- this was convenient. I have not seen any stuffs but I found very messy hospitality toray which looked like someone ransacked. Clean but rather shabby accommodation
A perfectly adequate hotel for a stop-over for a weekend appointment.
I arrived late evening on the Friday, my arrival having been delayed by traffic. The pin code procedures for unlocking front door and room worked well but there was no illumination in the porch so gaining entry after dark was an event. One of the disadvantages of having a "no staff after hours". Once in, the facilities were clean and adequate and I would be quite happy to use it again but it is not some where that I would use normally. The room was well fitted out and had 'fridge, cooker, and all normal/necessary fittings; however, although I was aware that at the weekends there were no staff, I understood that some basic facilities for breakfast would be left in the room. Tea, coffee and two biscuits is about as basic as one can get! My room was clean and thankfully my bed was very comfortable but I saw no staff through-out my stay although information before hand suggested there would be someone on duty over night.
An interesting stay that, surprisingly, I would be prepared to repeat but next time I would be better prepared. Any recommendation to friends would be heavily caveated!

Beautiful house in classy, clean Cheltenham.Just a small problem checking in as I couldn't pick up email on day of arrival -would text give wider coverage?Glad I came.
Quiet location ease of getting, felt secure with key code to room
A budget option but great for a low cost stay while working in the area. Everything was superb and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Thank you!
The room was ideal for a solo traveller, like myself, in a peaceful area of Cheltenham. It was clean and tidy, with a nice view from the front of the building.
Don't expect a traditional hotel with reception or plush rooms and you'll do fine here. Cheap and cheerful, self-admission to property, with any problems quickly resolved by the provided contact. I stayed in a hot spell and although there was no fan available, the room didn't overheat. Ten minute walk into centre of town and bus stop nearby for buses to Winchcombe for a bit of walking.
Functional and great for our needs, very convenient for the Football ground.
Just a standard visit to family ideal located.
very hot and couldnt open window.
Self check so do check your emails. Luckily as I was attempting to park (4 hours during the day or you can request a permit), a very helpful man named Martin allowed me to park and then showed me my room (as email was in junk).
Lovely big twin room with comfy bed. Great staff!
Clean, comfortable and great value for money.
Room was very dated, but clean. No hot water so had cold shower. Bed was comfortable and room had everything you need. Not enough onsite parking.
Very cheap and it was perfect for me as I was looking for a bed for the night. I have no need to look for a place for dinner or breakfast. unfortunately on morning there was no hot water in the shower so it was a very, very quick wake up.
Great location and easy access and reasonable price for what you get, however this is the second time I have stayed here in the garden room where you have to be very very patient waiting for the hot water to arrive at the shower and sink in the morning. Could do with thicker blackout curtains unless you like getting up with the sunrise. That said I will be booking again in the near future.
Amazing place, close to amenities, clean and comfortable.
I just want to say that there was everything I wanted and nothing I didn’t want. I was grateful there was a bath; all was pleasing, comfortable and tasteful. I could park overnight in a nearby side-street.
