Hotel The Designers Hongdae

Everything was great except the housekeeping was not done in a proper manner. Our bathroom and toilet were not cleaned on the days we had housekeeping done. Staff was excellent. Hotel is in a great location with convenient public transport options and food and dining.

Loved the stylish design and modern vibe of the hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the location in Hongdae is perfect—close to cafes, shops, and nightlife. Would definitely stay again!

Great location. There is no laundry service nor laundry machines on site. They are currently renovating so the noise levels are quite loud from 9 AM to about 5 PM.

Shower door opened straight into the bedroom and would basically hit the bed so water would leak everywhere onto the floor. Sink, toilet, and shower are all in one area so once you shower you would be unable to go back inside to do anything or else your feet would get soaking wet. Absolutely no privacy as the bathroom is barely opaque and almost see through. Room had nowhere to sit and was dirty. Old building with elevator doors that close on you. There was also nowhere to sit/ barely any room to fit more than 2 small suitcases. Would recommend staying somewhere else. Only plus is that it is super close to shops and entertainment.

Room was the perfect size. The tub is huge!

Not worth the price paid. The room was very dusty, including the bed, floor, and bathtub, which wasn’t even scrubbed, leaving stains and dust. Very disappointed and unimpressed. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay there. They only provided one towel for two guests.

I had an amazing view which I don't think i would get any where else.

Lobby was not a fancy thing but rooms and everything else was beyond expected

Good location. Not a great hotel. The room given had no door handle, just a hole in the door where the handle used to be, so the door couldn't be closed. We were able to change rooms.
They also charge a fee to leave your luggage for a couple of hours after checking out. I have never heard of a hotel charging a fee to hold luggage.

Room very hot. Followed instructions for cooling using remote control, but couldn’t get it to work. Instructions not clear enough, or air conditioner broken. Don’t know which.

The room was clean and maintained well. Extra charges for basic items, such as shampoo and body wash, makes me feel uneasy.
They should do better job in keeping the hall way more presentable. Not only the room, the front desk and hall way are the first impressions to the guests.

I absolutely the location of this property! Very central to Hongdae Red Street and Subway stations. The staff was also quite accommodating, courteous and friendly. I would def book here again on my next trip to Seoul!

Location was great for night life

Walls are thin and past midnight lots of loud people in the hallway. Lighting in the hallway is dark as we walk towards our room. There is no shower curtain in the bathroom so water everywhere after use. One elevator is old and just patched with brown paper around it. Lobby is very small. If you want to stay in cheap and convenience around Hongdae then this might be it but I didnt feel safe. The rooms looked like a dorm.

Warning sign fur anyone considering to stay in this hotel. The hotel has been the worst hotel that I have stayed. It is very dirty and not well maintained facility.

Staffs are helpful and efficient. Location is convenient with many dining options, nearest Hongik Univ subway station is 7 min. walk away. Drawbacks are... room is small for 4 adults, not enough space for 4 mid size luggages. Room lightings are insufficient, a bit dim even with all lights turned on. Toilet glass door is only partially glossed, hence can see through inside.

Photos did not match actual room. Hotel is extremely overpriced.

So easy to get to via the airport railroad. 711 right outside. Friendly staff that are there too help. Check in is at 3pm local time but they will store your bags up front.
