Pros:

the beach access and the area on the path, the AC was broken and we did receive an upgrade so that was nice of them but the new rooms air flow was also not optimal. There was Miguel in guest relations who proactively reached out about activities etc, so that was a nice touch. Have cash though because they only do cash payments.

Cons:

room quality, super old, property was super loud with kids, not modern, probably was fancy in the early 2000s. Kind of cheap overall. Just felt like a ton of cruise type people at a hotel or resort. I definitely would not call it a 5 star resort or hotel.

Very nice, but with some changes could be excellent
Pros:

We stayed here for 9 nights in June and overall it is a really nice hotel. The beach is fantastic, the staff are generally great, and the outside spaces and planting lovely.

There are just a few points which make it land short of 5 star for me, which on the whole could be easily remedied:

- the hotel leans towards a corporate feel inside, both in the reception and rooms and could benefit from some soft touches (such as fresh flower arrangement in reception for example)

- the cooked elements of the breakfast buffet are a bit lacking. The hash browns are dry/stale, bacon needs a bit more cooking, and sausages aren’t well suited to breakfast (more like chorizo)

- you have to pay extra for the sunloungers on the beach and it is very expensive (there is a theme with this in that you have to pay extra for lots of other things too like sauna / padel - I understand the spa is small but for these things it would be good if each guest had one credit to book on)

- whilst the buffet is brilliant and good value, the Italian and Japanese restaurant were incredibly overpriced for what it was. There are Italian restaurants around the corner from the hotel which charge half and the food was actually better.

- the cocktails are beautiful but need more alcohol, they taste of fruit juice

- if you have a fussy child you may struggle at the buffet as there is usually only one obvious option for kids like turkey and chips

- the pools are chic and loungers nice but a bit boring, I don’t know why they never put the fountains on! The adult only pool is unheated and freezing which may trouble some. It would also be good if staff would sometimes come round to take drinks orders which is typical at 5* rather than always going up to the bar.

Overall it is a very nice hotel but would be excellent if those points were addressed

Exceptional and Attentive Staff
Pros:

Hotel was beautiful with spacious rooms and stunning pine forest area surrounding it. However without a doubt the service was the highlight - the staff are consistently helpful, attentive and do everything with a smile.

A special mention to Athar, Anish, Everton and Ardya who were all excellent throughout our stay. The staff are what justify the 5 star rating of the hotel.

Zustand des Zimmers, ungepflegte Anlage (Gehwege, Pool), Strandliegen gegen hohe Gebühren, Babybecken viel zu kalt, teilweise nicht ganz so freundliches Personal, in die Jahre gekommene Ausstattung, Kinderbetreuung wirkte nicht gerade motiviert

Excelente opção em Albufeira em frente a praia com boa estrutura perto do hotel.
Pros:

O quarto é excelente, tanto no tamanho quanto nas amenidades. Ter garagem coberta é um diferencial. O acesso a praia é por meio de uma escada mas muito bem estruturada e fácil de subir e descer. Recomendo!

Cons:

Não ter serviço na praia incluido na diária é ruim pra quem frequenta a praia algumas horas. O café da manhã é excelente, mas podia ter suco de laranja natural.

Our stay was magical, we left wanting to return the next time we come to Portugal.
Pros:

The property was stunning. Very well kept up. The staff was very attentive and kind. The walk to the beach was just the right distance. The beach area is beautiful.

Cons:

I did feel the layout of the bathroom was a little odd, however, we still very much enjoyed our room.
