The view was amazing I will stay there forever the name is heaven it’s tru heaven on earth
Location was the attraction. Also the spa facilites.
Very expensive
Fantastic room, view, facilities & location
Reception staff could not do enough for us, really welcoming, we also had a lovely meal with staff who gave a lovely welcome too.
We went into the bar before dinner, bar person not very welcoming, we got the impression he did not enjoy being their.
it does not cost anything to use basic manners.
The location is superb and the staff are lovely. The restaurant offers a good range of food.
It’s looking a bit tired. The door to one of our cupboards was half hanging off. We booked the top of the range room, it would be nice to have a few extras that we get at other places, like dressing gowns and generous toiletries, they were quite tiny.
Staff were friendly.
Breakfast was nice and had a good variety of food and drinks.
The location was beautiful, with fantastic views.
Heated outdoor pool was good.
The room was very small, old and tired. The carpet was old and stained, the cold tap in the bathroom didn't work, had to brush our teeth in hot water.
Massively overpriced for one nights stay.
The location was good.
No lift going to the floor I was in. I was put in room 337 and no walk in shower. I had a walking stick and staff clearly see and told me there was only a few steps. The first night when I got up the second floor to walk that long distance I collapsed on the floor unable to get up. I had to get to the fire exit stairs which you have to go up to get to room 337. That is where I managed to pull myself up on to my feet. I just managed to get to the room. The receptionists told me there was only a couple of stairs even when I said I will have problems. She was obviously to my circumstance. Would not recommend to others.
Excellent location bus routes right by the very scenic Sandbanks ferry to travel further leaving the car parked in Hotels very spacious managed car parking system. And all the staff most friendly and professional and quick to sort any problems that arose, lovely old building with excellent accommodation and panoramic views from all sides of Hotel.
Nothing all excellent
The location is defiantly what you pay for. It’s was lovely and quiet and out of the way of the centre which is what I wanted. I loved watching the ferry service next to the hotel. The staff at reception was super helpful.
The breakfast on Sunday morning wasn’t its finest. We arrived before it got busy and most of the food plates was empty and needed top up. I waited 20 minutes for beans to come out by then I ate my food and didn’t bother. The scrambled eggs were like soup and needed to be cooked for longer. Luckily the manager came out of nowhere and saved the breakfast and whipped his staff into shape.
The bedrooms are severely outdated with only 4 plugs in the whole entire room and non next to the bed. One was half way up the wall next to nothing. We also had a lamp that wasn’t plugged in due to no plugs next to it and just for decoration. The toilet had stains in and the shower had pour water pressure and was feeling like it was dribbling out of the head.
Staff behavior,service,food
None
Location excellent.
Hotel staff thin on the ground and not very enthusiastic.
Room bin not emptied taps in bathroom not very clean.
Breakfast fair. Tables not cleared when visitors left.
I felt sorry for the staff. Not many of them. Did not look happy (only the security guard in the evening of our stay. Seemed happy in his role)
The property is in a stunning location and we loved the view from our balcony. The food at the restaurant was excellent. The outdoor pool and jacuzzi were also fab thanks to the view.
Felt like the location did all the heavy lifting. For a four star hotel, you except room service or excellent amenities. The bathroom was very outdated and was a bit surprised to have cheap mini shampoo/conditioner etc. if it were not for the location and views, I would say the hotel was very overpriced for what you get.
Grand hotel needs an update.
Spa area is closer to leisure center than a proper spa
