The location of the hotel is amazing, especially when the sun is out to sit outside with a drink
Chain ferry doesn't stop until 11pm , the outside pool wasn't open because of the time of year but the weather was lovely and warm
It desperately needs a renovation
Poorly working showers and dirty carpets
Comfortable room with a great view. Friendly, helpful staff. Excellent breakfast - wide choice of food and good quality. Ample parking.
Dinner in the restaurant was disappointing especially the scallops which were tiny and overpriced. No British draft beer in the bar.
Location is excellent , room was up to date, large and the beds were comfortable. Parking on site. The bar, terrace & pools plus access to the beach were great. Staff were friendly, engaging and professional. Lunch & dinner menu choice was good , the buffet breakfast was excellent.
4 * hotel some areas were tired. Grouting on indoor pool requires repair . Tables needed clearing more regularly during busy lunchtimes.
Came with Daughter & family
Good facilities for grandsons, indoor pool, outdoor pool.
Excellent position, on the beach, near ferry for trips, large car park
Staff were always polite and welcoming. Hope to stay again
Nothing springs to mind
Team very friendly and very helpful
So I didn't like the entrance door at the room was very loudly when opening and closing the door, very poor quality on the pillows and at 7am very noise from outside when they receiving delivery cages from the lorry to the hotel
Position was great
Receptionist chewing gum. Room not ready on arrival and took one hour forty five.
Staff really tried but most looked scruffy
Despite nice room £620 for two nights b and b was too much
Good location but nothing else I liked about this hotel. Its awful.
Its so outdated, and absolutely filthy. The staff are just unhelpful and moody.
The hotels position
The overall poor decoration of the hotel. Very old fashioned. In need of a complete refurbishment.
The Location and spa facilities , parking
2 out of 3 rooms booked had problems with the showers. Some updates required including a lick of paint to the pool area.
Pool
Room too hot, no air con, windows didn’t open
Good breakfast.
Nothing
Location is always the best along sandbanks
The Staff were not welcoming, especially given the price of accommodation. Unfortunately the fire alarm sounded 4 times during the night, one resulting in a full evacuation at 5am, no apology was given upon checkout and having missed breakfast nothing was offered which was a shame
The location. The parking. It had a pool. The bar area.
Showers to 2 of our 3 rooms had problems with heat regulation. My room floor 1 was the same price as my daughter’s floor 2 . Her room was substantially smaller with no fridge. Air con in my room not controllable.
Pool area lovely but a lick of paint would help aesthetically. Huge restaurant not enough staff. Menu fair.
Location couldn’t be better.having been coming to the haven for many years I think the food has changed.it is no longer fine dining but enjoyable.i do think we should have had an apology for the disruption of the fire alarm going off 3 times in one night.will definitely be back
We stayed at the Haven last year and thought it was a bit “tired”and the lift was a nightmare. This time the whole feeling had improved, the staff were better and the lift had been modernised. The room 211 was excellent.
The position of the hotel and views make up for any minor criticisms.
See comments below regarding the room which itself was very nice. The breakfast and staff were very good. The location of the hotel was also very good.
The room 331, a delux room as we had asked and paid for, to which we were allocated had no lift to it and it was a real hike to find it along corridors and up several stairs. On the second day our room key did not work which meant the hike back to reception. We then found there was no replenishment of the milk and tea bags so another hike to get some. We later found only one set of bath and hand towels had been left but we could not face the hike for a third time so left it for the next day to ask for more.
The location was outstanding
Parts of the hotel were very tired;
Bathroom very tired needed repair
Outside patios dirty and weeds
Breakfast was very basic no bread alternatives
