Stern am Rathaus

The owners are amazing!!! Such kind individuals that are truly excited to share their city. They have excellent recommendations. The location is also perfect… easy to take elevators from the metro to the street the hotel is located. Excellent breakfast as well. One of the nicest stays we have had in Germany. Also, the AC works great (whew)

Absolutely fantastic – the best breakfast of our entire holiday!
We are incredibly happy with our stay at Stern am Rathaus! The room was so fresh and clean, and the hotel is in a perfect location right by the town hall. However, the absolute best part of our experience was the wonderful staff, who were so lovely and welcoming. On top of that, the breakfast was by far the best we had during our entire holiday in Germany!
We highly recommend this hotel and would love to come back. A true gem!

The room was spotless, the air conditioner and refrigerator were working well. The breakfast was very good. The employees were very caring, friendly. They asked if everything was okay. The bed was very cosy. After a long journey, we slept soundly. The location was very good. Although we checked in late, everything was very easy. They helped us leave our bags on the day we left. It was my second visit to Cologne, I will definitely stay here in the third. Thank you very much for everything. It was a very pleasant stay.

地理位置绝佳，走两分钟就能到小广场喝啤酒，五分钟到商业街，dm星巴克奢侈品全都有。我每天都能去爽喝啤酒😋，前台的大叔人特别好，非常热情，房间虽然小但是五脏俱全。或许因为小，住户之间也会友好相互打招呼，能听到教堂的钟声…对我来说是非常珍贵的回忆！如果有机会再来德国我还会选择这个酒店的！

Breakfast was outstanding. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Clean, comfortable and convenient.

Neben dem angenehmen Preis (gerade, wenn man berücksichtigt, welche absurden Preise in Köln und anderen Großstädten inzwischen selbst von mittelmäßigen Hotels aufgerufen werden) und der herausragenden Lage direkt am historischen Rathaus in der Altstadt ist vor allem das überaus freundliche und hilfsbereite Personal (bzw. sind die überaus freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Inhaber) bemerkenswert. Und: Das sehr gute Frühstücksbuffet mit hervorragenden Produkten - bis hin zur im Haus selbst geschlagenen Butter. Die Betten sind bequem, das Bad ist ausreichend groß, unterm Dach gibt's eine Klimaanlage für heiße Sommertage. Alles super, würde ich sagen.

This small hotel is a gem. My son and I arrived late -- but had made arrangements ahead of time for that. All worked out well, as did the parking. There was great communication from the hotel about all of this.
The location is fabulous. Right near everything and we were able to walk around the city and to the cathedral easily.
Room was clean and modern.
Breakfast was lovely. We had slept in our first morning (after the travel of the night before) and we figured we had missed breakfast since we were leaving just past 10 a.m., but a kind gentleman from the hotel stopped us and invited us to eat, even though "breakfast hours" had past. I honestly think they had been waiting for us! The place is small so they do know you and they provided great service.
This was a terrific place that lived up to the other reviews and ratings.
I would definitely stay here again if I ever return to Cologne!
