acording to booking it was the last room available - upon arrival I was the only guest.
Pros:

The owners were friendly and helpful

Cons:

both night lights next to the bed were broken
the fan was very noisy
after flushing the toilet, water was running for ages
the room rate doesn't correspond with whats offered

Enjoy the vibe and friendliness at the Pousada Ancora
Pros:

The location is perfect, just two minutes from the lovely Tairu Beach at Ithaparica. Pousada Ancora is secluded and a safe place. The rooms are simple and clean and they serve an excellent breakfast. Pousada Ancora has a lovely hippie feel to it and if you´re in to that - this is the place for you.

Pros:

The pousada is ideally located next to the beach, and is ideal for a peaceful and restful stay on the island of Itaparica, from which you have a beautiful view on the bay of Salvador.
The hosts Deny and Jony are extremely helpful, providing addresses for taxis and helping out however they can. They also make one of the best breakfasts I've had in Brasil! The pool is definitely the cherry on the cake.

Cons:

Some of the room facilities are a bit outdated, but that also has its charm.

Visit to Ancora
Pros:

Trying to get there was a nightmare, I came late to the airport and paid $500 to a tax driver to take us there. We went there via Ferry, got there around 11:30, the driver left us there and we were calling on the phone and no one answered, we knocked at the door for 20 minutes and nobody responded, we ringed the bell and nothing. I was so mad because it was raining and nobody showed up to open the door. We had to pay another 500 to go back t o Salvador and got there around 5:30 am. Place looks like a getto, lot of graffiti, bad area and most terrible the service!!! No body opens the door after certain hours, I do not recommend this trash to nobody!!
