It’s a great stop, or stay in September. We stayed 2 nights and was way too long
Pros:

Beautiful vineyard September would be a good time to visit. Wine and port is delicious and staff extremely nice. Beautiful bathroom and shower. Bedding was nice. They charged us euro 13 each for tour and it was just talking and seeing 2rooms - don’t do the tour.

Cons:

Bed was so uncomfortable and room was so hot! The ac would only work for a while and turn off -our room was 82.5 degrees and it was only 64 outside! The only option for food was over the top fancy and very expensive.

Great staff, location and facilities. Thewine tour was led by a master who really knew his subject.

Cons:

Booking.com couldn't get us in the wine barrel rooms as we originally booked. When called, they told us there was no such room, despite the web listing presenting them and despite us contacting the resort directly and being told they were available. Won't ever use this website again. Will book directly with the resort.
