Hich Hotel Konya

When visiting Konya with I always stay at the Hich Hotel in the centre of town. Beautifully furnished rooms overlook a garden and picturesque Mevlevi Museum. The staff are exceptionally attentive and breakfast is phenomenal.

Hich Hotel is an incredibly charming hotel. I was worried it couldn't possibly live up to its glowing reviews, but somehow it exceeded them. There is just no easy way to describe what makes this place feel so special.

My room felt more like a private villa than a hotel room, offering plenty of privacy and a peaceful atmosphere despite being in the heart of Konya.

What really sets the hotel apart are the thoughtful touches. Upon arrival, I was welcomed with dried fruits and nuts, and the refrigerator was stocked with complimentary juice and mineral water. Each evening, warm milk and cookies were delivered before bed—a small gesture that made the stay feel especially welcoming.

The breakfast was excellent, but the staff made it even better. After the first morning, they remembered exactly how I liked my coffee and eggs and had them ready almost immediately. That level of personal attention made me feel more like a guest in someone's home than a customer in a hotel.

The location could not be better. The hotel sits directly across from the Mevlana Museum and is only a short walk from the city center, numerous excellent restaurants, and the shuttle departure point for Çatalhöyük.

If you're visiting Konya—and you absolutely should—it's hard to imagine a better place to stay. Beautiful accommodations, outstanding service, and an unbeatable location.

Our stay at Hich Hotel in Konya was truly memorable. The location could not be better—just a short walk from the beautifully designed city center and only steps away from the Mevlana Museum, the former Mevlevi monastery built around the mausoleum of Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Rumi. Being so close to such an important spiritual and historical site made our visit even more meaningful.

The hotel itself is charming, peaceful, and full of character, offering a unique atmosphere that reflects the spirit of Konya. What made the experience exceptional, however, was the outstanding hospitality. Gizem, the hotel manager, and Samy went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. When we experienced difficulties sleeping, they did everything possible—including changing our room—to help us have a restful and enjoyable stay.

Their kindness, the attentiveness of the servers at breakfast and genuine desire to help made us feel truly cared for. We are deeply grateful for their efforts and highly recommend Hich Hotel to anyone visiting Konya. If you are looking for an authentic, welcoming place with an unbeatable location near the Mevlana Museum, this is the place to stay.

Location and staff

This hotel was in a perfect location to explore Konya. Easy walk to the Mevlana Museum, 25mins walk to Alaaddin Hill with the park & mosque. Bus stop nearby. Easy walk to markets, restaurants and souvenir shops. Comfortable room and bed, decent bathroom and plenty of space in the room. Wonderful staff, nice outdoor area and exceptional breakfast.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hich Hotel (3 nights, king room with panoramic view). It's in an older building with lots of character. Our room overlooked the Mevlana Müzesi, which was cool. At first we were given a different smaller room but I think there was a mix-up at reception, in any case, the hotel sorted it out and moved us to the larger room.

We had a car rental and there was free street parking just outside the hotel. We didn't use the car while we were in Konya, everything was within walking distance (plus we had a prime parking spot and didn't want to lose it lol).

The hotel sells tickets to the tourist Whirling Dervishes, but we were there on a Saturday and were able to see the actual religious ceremony at the Mevlana Cultural Centre. (The actual ceremony is first-come-first-served at the door, cash only, so the hotel doesn't have tickets for this).

The breakfasts are excellent at the hotel, it's the full traditional Turkish breakfast. They also do freshly-squeezed orange juice on request. We also had dinner one night at the hotel which was good too.

It’s a 1 minute walk to Mevlana Museum, the entire hotel layout is very thoughtful. The breakfast is better than what 5 star hotels offer — everything was fantastic!

Ein wunderbares, kleines, feines, wunderschön gestaltetes Hotel in zentraler Lage -gleich gegenüber dem Mevlanakomplex. Dennoch liegt es total ruhig mit schattigem Garten und Aussichtsterrasse! Hier wird jeder Gast persönlich von Gizem, der Managerin, begrüßt!👌🏻 Für meine vegane Freundin wurde zum Frühstück extra ein Gemüseteller zubereitet. Der kleine ‘Gute-Nacht-Gruß -warme Milch und frisch gebackene Kekse- ist eine besonders schöne Geste!
