ALU Hotel Davao

This is a very old building, that should be either completely remodeled or torn down. How this hotel gets a high rating for anyone makes no sense. It is a very low budget place on the level of a dirtbag hostel. I would never go back. They don’t even make coffee in the restaurant. It comes to you with a cup of hot water and some instant. I actually left after the first night, even though I had paid for two.

I love its location because it's accessible and just a few meters away from the night market. :)
Their staf are all very friendly and helpful. We were aloud to park our car overnight when we had to go gensan on another vehicle.
The rooms are outdated but very clean. 2 bottles of water, shampoo and soap were provided.

The place was good but I am not satisfied with the second room that i had booked for m mother and my nieces. I booked a family room but it was ended of a twin bedroom. My mothers room AC was not working properly I'm a bit disappointed. The service was good ,the hotel staff was friendly and was very accommodating,during the breakfast time we encountered someone who stayed at the hotel too she told us we are not allowed for the buffet breakfast because its only for them. But its OK we can handle the situation. Good job and Have a good day!!!

I stayed at ALU Hotel because it was the venue of the Training-Workshop on Mixed Methods Research that I attended. Air conditioning is okay. The room is generally comfy. TV reception is good. The bathroom though is not spacious. Wifi is available but at times the speed is slow. The hotel staff are courteous and accommodating.

Great location near Roxas Avenue night market. Mattresses not so great.

The hotel is located at Roxas Avenue. Night market is held at the avenue everyday and there you can enjoy local food. 15min walk to the beach.

Front of night market. Good resto nearby. Near Sta. Ana wharf for Samal island trip.place is safe.

My daughter and I enjoyed our stay at Alu Hotel .The location is very convenient. The rate is affordable. Free Breakfast is good . I like the information book provided in the room . It is well written and very informative. It gave us ideas on where to explore in Davao. WiFi is great in our room . The front desk staff , other staff are very accommodating to our needs. Ryan is very helpful . I reserved a birthday party for my daughter in their function room. The service was good . I will definitely come back and stay at Alu Hotel again .

Affordable and has easy access to shopping centers and restaurants.

Me and my husband had a great time staying at ALU Hotel. The staff were very accommodating. We had no issue or trouble checking in despite the fact that we had a super late checked-in time (1:00 am) because of the delayed flight. Food was also good and the location of the place was a big plus. Just right outside of the Hotel is the famous Roxas Boulevard where the night market is located. We definitely enjoyed the night market and we don't have to walk very far or ride a car just to get there.

Hotel staffs are excellent. Free breakfast are very satisfactory. This hotel is perfect for the value I paid. My husband and I enjoyed staying in this hotel pretty much; good food; hotel staffs are cordial, honest, always at your service anytime and whatever you need. Service is amazing. The only tradeoff is the linens are little bit old and smelly but this is compensated by the great food for free breakfast and quick, honest service by the staffs. Our overall stay is quite enjoyable and we will keep coming back to stay in this hotel whenever we visit Davao. I will definitely recommend Alu Hotel for practical minded guests!

Hotel is located on prime location and nearby shopping area. Service of the staff is excellent, prompt and very polite. The continental breakfast was also very good and restaurant area was also very neat and clean and very hygienic. Overall lunch and dinner were also good and affordable to pocket too. When I was stayed there, at that time they are changing their elevation, but it must be nice and attractive.
I strongly recommend to stay this hotel as it is very good, clean, food is hygienic, and true value for money.

Room size is ok but the washroom is quite small. It has its own restaurant on the main floor. Buffet breakfast is provided but nothing spectacular about it. Selection includes corned beef, hard boiled eggs, hotdogs and rice.

The hotel is about 15 to 20 minute walk from People's Park and steps away from the night market. There are a few eateries around the area as well.

We were pleased with the staff of the hotel, from the security guard all the way to the Front desk. They were all very helpful in giving us directions whenever needed. We hired the hotel van for 8 hours as we wanted to go to the Philippine Eagle Centre and Malagos Resort. Our driver was equally friendly and professional.

Furniture were old, room is dated, water heater wasn't working, complimentary breakfast had small portions. You get what you pay for. Pay a bit more, and get a better hotel than this.

On the plus side, the staff was really attentive.

Though I had not stay this time but I like the location and services of the property and friendly services of hotel staff and services of restaurant too. I like to book again whenever I will visit to Davao again.
