Health Impact & Broken Commitment and No compensation during my stay March 3-8 2026

Hilton Panamá — Stay March 3–8, 2026

On March 2, Aliz Cedeño from Hilton Panamá emailed me. I requested an airport transfer and specifically asked that the sign show both of our names; I was assured it would be done—it wasn’t. He also asked if we were celebrating an occasion. I explained it was my birthday weekend; no one acknowledged it at any point during our stay.

Comfort was worse: from Tuesday night onward the room had a thick, musky scent that made it hard to breathe. The front desk said there were no other rooms in that category. By Thursday I was congested and sick, stuck in bed on over-the-counter meds. Engineering eventually checked the AC and found no filter in the vent—the reason I became ill.

I emailed manager Katherine “Kate” Scantlebury. Her reply was excuses; nothing promised in her email was delivered, and she did not address the health impact of a dirty vent in a suite I paid a premium for as a Diamond member.

The lapses began with pre-arrival contact and continued through checkout. As a Diamond member, I expected far better. I am still waiting for the hotel to address this specifically and offer compensation for the night rendered unusable and the medical effects. Very disappointed in Hilton Panamá.

Pros:

I really liked the location of the hotel, which is very convenient and close to many restaurants and attractions. The room was clean, comfortable, and had a great view of the city. The staff was friendly and professional, and the facilities like the pool and casino made the stay even more enjoyable.

Best Birthday Stay Ever – Amazing Service, Great Food, and Wonderful Staff! 🎉

y stay at this hotel was truly amazing from arrival to departure, and it made my birthday celebration even more special! From the moment I arrived, the service was fast, efficient, and extremely welcoming. The staff made sure everything went smoothly and were always available whenever I needed assistance. It really made the entire experience feel comfortable, relaxing, and memorable.

I would especially like to recognize the wonderful front office team. A big thank you to Oscar, Gina, Karla, Milkary, and Alexis for their professionalism, kindness, and warm hospitality. They truly went above and beyond to make guests feel welcomed and taken care of throughout the stay.

I would also like to give a special shout-out to Gloria from the restaurant. She was incredibly helpful and attentive, and she made the dining experience even more enjoyable.

Another thing that really stood out to me was how clean and well-maintained the hotel is. The property is spotless, and you can tell that the staff takes great pride in maintaining high standards. The food was also absolutely delicious—every meal I had was flavorful and well prepared.

Celebrating my birthday here made the trip even more special, and I’m so happy I chose this hotel. The combination of excellent customer service, cleanliness, and great food made my stay unforgettable.

I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a welcoming and comfortable place to stay. I will definitely be back soon!

Wonderful people
Pros:

Everything about the resort was amazing. I want to give a special shout out to a few people who were amazing! Pablo who makes amazing omelettes in the breakfast buffet. Oscar in the lobby who was always very helpful and always smiling. The shows in the Emotions club were amazing. The talent of the dancers and singers was top notch. We also saw the Michael Jackson show which was the best one I’ve ever seen.
