Brilliant location if you want to explore China Town and all the amazing restaurants in the area.
Pros:

The property was lovely once you were inside. The facilities, staff and breakfast were fabulous.

The location is good for China Town and the Brooklyn Bay Bridge.

Subway was a 10 min walk.

Fantastic Asian restaurants and really reasonably priced delicious food available if you’re feeling brave enough to go for a little walk.

We were staying over the busiest dates of the year 3-5th July) and the vibe was fabulous (in a bustling and crowded NYC fashion.)

Cons:

The area surrounding the hotel is classic NYC. Loud, bustling, busy, grubby and hot. This area is a little more “scary” than the more uptown Manhattan hotels we have stayed in previously.

Walter and Sharonda are Marriott Superstars!
Pros:

This is a wonderful Marriott - and Walter and Sharonda went above and beyond helping me solve some logistical problems with my arrival and reservation. They could not have been more professional, thorough, and genuinely helpful. Excellent customer service like this truly makes a difference. I appreciate the kindness, competence, and dedication to making guests feel valued which was provided by Walter and Sharonda.

The location was great, this is an excellent option for travelers on a budget.
Pros:

The staff was universally friendly, from the housekeepers to the front desk staff to the folks who kept the breakfast running smoothly. We were not bothered by any noise from outside, or from others in the hotel. The breakfast had a great variety of food, and the fresh fruits and veg were a great touch.

Cons:

My guess is that housekeeping may be a bit understaffed. Our first room may or may not had bedbug stains on the wall (no issue from the front desk moving us very quickly and the next room was fine). The bed and floor looked like they could have benefited from another pass through. We were out from 10-3 and out trash wasn’t taken out, or our towels refreshed on our second day.

das Zimmer welches uns verkauft wurde war für 3 Personen, wir waren aber zu viert und haben für 4 gebucht. das Hotel sagt, der Fehler liege bei booking......

es war sehr laut im Zimmer. hinter dem Hotel die manhatten Bridge, auf welcher die subways einen Lärm machen, der einem tieffliegenden Flugzeug sehr ähnlich ist. vor dem Hotel die Strasse mit vielen Einsatzfahrzeugen mit Sirenen die ganze Nacht. die Lage in China Town haben wir gewusst, würden wir aber nicht mehr wählen.

Great lower Manhattan hotel
Pros:

My family stayed at this hotel for our recent NYC trip. We intentionally wanted to avoid the chaos of Midtown and explore new neighborhoods. We loved being in Chinatown and a short walk to the Lower East Side. The hotel was comfortable and clean and all of the staff were warm and helpful. I wish I had caught more of their names, but Rhonda at the front desk was especially helpful. Would definitely stay here again!

Great location in China Town, quick walk to uptown subway station & a quick 20 minute walk to FiDi.
Pros:

Size of rooms, ease of checking, cleanliness. Staff was always friendly, seem to genuinely enjoy their jobs.
