Location was great, not far from my bike route. There was a restaurant close by and a Dollar Tree right next door. Breakfast was good. Had to let the manager know the hot water was not hot. He then microwaved my oatmeal so it was good to eat. Bananas were just right. The room was clean.
Nice facility! Clean, helpful staff, all the basic amenities, nice outdoor patio area. Good breakfast. Near a beautiful park. Safe parking. Having no elevator was a minor inconvenience.
Comfortable and clean rooms at a reasonable price. Amenities were nice. Staff was helpful and friendly. Continental breakfast could use some work. I would stay here again.
The room is very pleasant with a small fridge and a microwave. The bed is comfortable and the room thermostat is very responsive. Breakfast is minimal but has just what I need.
Freindly staff, clean rooms, good location.
We stayed at Holyoke, CO the rooms were clean, staff very nice, and breakfast was really good!
This is such a great place to stay. To sleep, to enjoy the absolute quiet and a very friendly staff. Arriving late at night, the staff was friendly and the morning staff were smiling and kind.
Linen was clean and soft! Room very clean. Front desk people were friendly and helpful. However, breakfast was not monitored and coffee had lots of grounds. Orange juice was watery. Display plastic for muffins and warm dishes need to be cleaned of dirty fingers. Not usual —since every other visit, breakfast area has been super welcoming. But still a great hotel
The room was clean, really good breakfast
Pretty nice place for the price
breakfast was great.
nothing
Rooms are nice, they are pet friendly and have plenty of room for you and your pet to go for a walk or play in the yard. Staff is extremely friendly and it met my needs for the evening.
This is our 3rd time staying here for pheasant hunting over the years. It is a perfectly adequate place to stay while hunting. We booked online and booked early to get a better deal. For only $10 more per night we could get the "suite" so we did that. They are also pet friendly which is a huge plus for your dogs/hunting dogs. It is $25/dog/night. There is a grassy area to the side and back of the hotel for walking your dogs and they even have some poop bags if you need. The parking lot isn't huge, but if needed there is large gravel truck parking around back. They also have a pheasant cleaning shed set up on the side of the hotel which is a nice touch. The woman checking us in was very friendly and helpful. There are no elevators, just stairs, but there are only 2 floors. In the lobby they have coffee and tea out all day. Just note the lobby coffee goes quick in the morning! It is the same coffee that comes with your own coffee maker in your room as well. They do have included breakfast each morning. It starts at 6am M-F, but on the weekends it doesn't start until 7am. For a normal hotel this is normal. For a hunting hotel, most people are hunting on the weekends and 7am is too late for the start they have in the morning. Consider changing the hours during hunting season to be more accommodating. The breakfast is very basic. They had breakfast potatoes, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, cereal, yogurt, bagels, bread, coffee/tea/hot cocoa, and some pre packaged pastries such as doughnuts and cinnamon strudel. Overall the hotel is a little worn and need of some maintenance. There were cracked tiles, worn furniture, worn bed, scratchy sheets and pillow cases, flat pillows, thin toilet paper, dents and scuffs on walls, ceilings, and furniture. The TV and DirecTV remotes only partially worked and some buttons were not working. The plumbing fixtures in the shower were loose. The shower did come with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash but we did not use it. So you are paying for a motel and that is what you are getting here so set up your expectations accordingly. Like there is no housekeeping unless you are staying more than 4 nights or you specifically request it. At least the doors to your room are on the inside of the building. We had booked a normal room and also a suite. The normal room had a mini fridge, and a small coffee maker, a desk and chair. There is an iron and ironing board in the open closet, luggage/duffle rack. There are a few restaurants nearby that we like such as happy jacks BBQ, but they were on holiday break when we were there along with every other restaurant except for subway and the Frog and Horse brewpub. The hotel does have a small bar/food thing in the breakfast area where you can order food including pizzas, but we didn't try it. We just did Frog and Horse both nights which was good but expensive. For the price you pay here you get a room to sleep before your hunting days which is great. Keep reading on for a review of the "suite". This means that there is a separate door for the bed/bedroom, and then the main room is like the living room and kitchenette. There is a full size fridge and freezer which is the biggest plus to this room. There is also a pull out couch, two chairs, a coffee table, and an extra TV to make up some more living space. The furniture was super worn and the couch was super squeaky. There is a small electric stovetop, but it only came with one tiny small saucepot. There is a dishwasher but not dishwasher soap. There is a sink with dish soap and a sponge. There was a 3/4 used roll of paper towels. One large trash can and two small trash cans with no extra bags. The rest of the kitchen supplies consisted of 2 ceramic mugs, 2 drinking glasses, 2 wine glasses, 2 bowls, 2 small plates, one large plate, a toaster, an ice bucket, 1 fork, 1 spoon, 2 butter knives, 2 cutting knives, one small cutting board, oven mit (but no oven), all the measuring spoons, one tongs, one rubber spatula, one serving spoon, one slotted spoon, one whisk, a can opener, a wine opener, one large mixing bowl, one small mixing bowl, one strainer. So a "suite" with one fork and one tiny sauce pot for the electric stovetop? Come on. So I was NOT impressed with the stocking of the kitchenette. But really we liked the living room for extra space for the dog, and for eating takeout. We also like the full size fridge for our lunch supplies and pheasants and drinks.
The room was big and comfortable.
Friendly staff. Breakfast and coffee were done early to support everyone’s hunting schedule. Our hunting group goes every year.
The staff was very sweet and hard working. As far as the room. The lamp and clock next to the bed didnt work. No problem. But, the bed. That mattress has got to be at least 20 years old. It was like sleeping in a bowl. Very creeky as well. Kinda grossed me out. I dont know who is the maintenence person. But they REALLY need to do better. Especially for the price we paid per night. I would have greatly appreciated a decent bed.
Although the sheets were clean the room was not.
The free breakfast was not edible.
The fact that they did NOT have an elevator needs to be made abundantly clear at booking and on your site. Elderly or impaired people would have difficulty.
Very nice place. The rooms are very clean and the beds are extremly comfortable. I would highly recomend staying here. Vonda was very helpful.
Very nice hotel …enjoyed my stay …clean, comfortable, good food .
small town feel! People at the hotel and in the area were really nice!
