We enjoyed our stay, the property is beautiful!! The room was great and super comfortable plus the staff was so friendly and there was a great breakfast. It’s a little further from the main streets in Antigua, but still walkable distance.

1. Falta mejorar servicio de restaurante, ya que no tienen variedad de opciones de comida, horarios de servicio es corto y la comida es fría.
2. Las habitaciones cuádruple es demasiado pequeñas, no servicio de aire acondicionado y televisión no funciona. Además indican que son dos camas Queen, sin embargo son camas de menor tamaño.
3. Relación costo del lugar es demasiado elevado
4. No habilitan la salida del segundo parqueo para los huéspedes...siendo este de mejor acceso para salir a caminar hacia la Antigua Guatemala
Hotel Real Plaza is a charming and comfortable hideaway. While some of the facilities have been around for many years, like the non functional fountains, it all seems well cared for and well loved. It has a charming sense of place and we enjoyed being here. Even with the massive traffic and processions of Holy Week, our room was a quiet sanctuary when we needed rest. The breakfast was a delicious buffet of fruits, eggs, beans, pancakes and other offerings. The coffee was delicious. The staff has been friendly and very helpful. The gardens are lovely and well established. It all as a genuine feel and we’ve enjoyed ourselves. The main entrance is on a road that has easy access to busses and til-tuk transportation. It’s a 15 minute walk to the central square fountain. Lots of great restaurants are close by.
We have friends who live here in Antigua and it would have been nice to take a break and hang out on the property between events. But this is discouraged. Maybe they’ve had issues with people trying to squeeze more people into a room without paying. But to pay a day use fee just to have friends hang out with us in the gardens seemed a bit unreasonable. I understand a fee if our kiddos wanted to swim but 100q for kiddos and 200q just for them to come sit with us in the gardens was unreasonable.
