We had an absolutely amazing time. The facility was great, the staff was great. The only reason I could not give it a 5 star review is because of the staff member at the rooftop pool trying to solicit excursions for the next day. I was bombarded and harassed enough on the beach that the last thing I wanted was one of the hotel staff members trying to get us to buy something from him. Or at least use his card so he could get a kickback. Other than him, the staff was top notch.
Nice!
Had mold in the shower; need to remove the caulking and re-caulk it for better presentation to guest. Staff was very nice.
The best hotet resort with a smile
I would like to commend all the staff from the reception amd all the crew member of this hotel, awesome service, greetings every time they see us, the open the doors for us. Excellent service, the housekeeping forget to put tissue on our washroom, but its ok they replace it right away. Everything is perfect
Great music n food...enjoyed !!! Service was great too.....mayb drop 1 session of fire dancing n increase band playing started to rain so unfortunately got wet.....really nice band well interacted with crowd.....good job guys....will be back to Boracay soon
The hotel is front of the beach, near shops, restaurants, and was able to book a Tuktuk tour around the island. It took me about less than hour to go from and back to the airport during dry season.
This is not a 4 star Hotel. Two at best, I would call it a 3 star because of the location and staff.
Doors going out to the deck, did not operate correctly.
Water pressure in the shower could barely keep the switch from going back to the faucet.
The hot tub in the room did not work.
The transfer from the hotel to the airport was 1900 psp for two people. If I would have did it myself it would have coast about half that. Location was great staff was great. Price of it all was way too high. I looked through most of the negative reviews and I do agree with most of them.
Perfect location had a great time at this place. They treated me like family only one complaint the people singing the music like the live entertainment but not till 1 o’clock in the morning sometimes she just wanna rest.
Great location by shopping and dinning. The continental breakfast every morning on the patio watching the sunrise was fantastic.
I like the location due to proximity to the beach. Breakfast was good. The Staff are super great! I was told by a Staff from a neighboring hotel (Mandarin I think) that I can’t use their beach cot/lounge chairs. So I moved. There is only like three or four provided by Uptown. The ones provided are not as comfortable as the ones provided by the other hotel.
Property was perfect location. In the middle of all the action. For the price great. Room was fine. Only downside was the shower. Poor water flow. Staff friendliness off the charts. Beautiful island. Worth every second to visit. - visit 2 brown boys restaurant. Best food on the island.
Thank you
Room has an amazing view of the sunsets and the fire show that they do twice a night. However, it’s really loud from 430pm-midnight. Live music right outside my room. I’m sure other rooms were much more quiet.
The Uptown hotel is a older style mid range hotel on Boracay beach. The rooms are basic and completely lacked hot water for shower or washing.
There is an outdoor pool area.
The hotel lobby area has a series of very noisy rock music bands playing until after midnight on every night of the week.
Any customers would be well advised to bring secure ear plugs if they want any sleep.
Customers would also be advised to use another hotel if they wanted any hot water.
Honest Review: Disappointing Stay at Uptown Hotel Boracay (Jan 5-8)
We stayed at Uptown Hotel in Boracay from January 5 to 8, booking three rooms for our family of four. We hoped to enjoy a more relaxed and spacious experience, but unfortunately, our stay did not meet expectations. Here’s my honest review:
Cost and Room Pricing:
We paid PHP 66,850 for 3 rooms over 3 nights. Each room was priced for two people, with an additional charge of PHP 1,500 per extra person per night for our kids and an adult. While we didn’t mind paying a premium, the quality of the rooms and amenities didn’t justify the high cost.
The Good:
- The staff were friendly and attentive, always willing to help and make our stay more comfortable.
- The infinity pool was a highlight, and the hotel grounds were spacious, offering a peaceful setting away from the busiest parts of Boracay.
- The location was relatively quiet, but still accessible to nearby attractions.
The Bad:
- We booked room 1110 the most expensive option, thinking we'd get something better, but it was still a rundown room. Despite its price, it felt very outdated and poorly maintained.
- The water pressure in the bathroom was abysmally low. Taking a shower was incredibly difficult, which is a huge inconvenience when you're on vacation.
- The furniture throughout the room and the hotel was old and worn out, giving everything a tired, neglected feel.
- The elevator had rust and peeling paint, which made us question its safety and overall maintenance.
- Breakfast was basic and unimpressive, and you had to go up two flights of stairs to get to the dining area—this could be problematic for anyone with mobility issues.
- We were not allowed late check-out,which felt unreasonable given the high cost of our stay.
- upon check out the reception tried to charge us with a stained towel an old towel.
Final Thoughts:
While we hoped that paying for the more expensive room would offer a more comfortable stay, we were sorely disappointed. For PHP 66,850 over 3 nights, you can find much better options in Boracay, especially around Station 2, where the quality and value are far superior. The hotel feels neglected and overpriced. Unless major renovations are made, I can’t recommend staying here.
The location of this hotel is at Station 2 and is just 2 minutes walk to D’Mall where all the dining and shopping are located. This hotel is also located right next to the beach which is perfect.
Love the band!! Solist guy is sooooo awesome!!
