Houseboats with history & character
Pros:

Not cheap, but well worth the money - historical indulgence from a bygone age. I wanted to experience Kashmir as set down in 'The jewel in the crown' and got it. Mr Butt is on hand to brief you on all the boats' history and brief you on Srinagar and nearby places of interest. Kaka his cook come butler does the rest. - the food is simple but of high quality. I sensed Mountbatten, Nelsinho Rockfeller etc in the wood panel rooms..............what more could one want other than the unenviable clear view across Lake Dal!
