Location and historic building was wonderful
The room was quite small but adequate
Great location for overnight stay. Very helpful staff.
Cleaning - you have some serious issues with the bathroom / wc.
The location was great, the space was roomy and comfortable, and the beds/pillows were excellent. We stayed in the owners suite, and although it was great for the above reasons, the level cleanliness was pretty bad. There was “gunk” on the sink handles, some kind of liquid spilled down the wall of one of the rooms and puddled on the baseboards, a used paper plate behind a sofa cushion, an empty flameless heating canister leftout on the floor, hair under a pillow, in the tub and on the base of the lamps, water rings on the side tables, and fingerprints all over the makeup mirror. The faux leather on the headboard was peeling really bad and if you touched it it stuck to your fingers and came off. it was nothing major, but i did feel like for $500 it should have been cleaned better. I sent pics to the assistance number as soon as we checked in and they said they’d speak to housekeeping .
One of the best restaurants for a hotel and top notch service
Room was a little small.
Had dinner at the onsite restaurant that was fabulous
Our room was a little small but very comfortable
Wonderful, friendly staff from checkin to checkout made our stay extra enjoyable in this historic hotel. Enjoyed exploring its history. Had a king room which was a bit on the smaller side but perfectly adequate for our stay. When asked the staff even provided a refrigerator for the room. Bed was extremely comfortable, AC was working well on a hot summer day, and the large TV was a nice treat to watch the World Cup games. Bathroom was spacious including the shower, water pressure was on the low side. All in all very pleased with our stay. Small but pretty restored downtown with a great friendly atmosphere—and the ice cream shop just a few stores down gave huge servings.
Nothing—would happily stay here again.
We stopped on our way down to Charleston and loved this place! Felt like stepping back in time with all of the modern amenities. Lobby and room was charming. Bonus was their restaurant Victor’s. Food was incredible and the atmosphere was really cool.
Good quality breakfast. Would have liked a few bread, muffin or bagel items

Historic building, quiet, well situated with free parking and restaurants and civic sites within easy walking distance, good breakfast but for a fee.
Small room. Expensive for the area, no breakfast of any kind provided except for coffee.
A charming hotel in a historic small town downtown building, close to everything. Rooms are well appointed, beds are comfortable, and Monica at the front desk was very helpful with local restaurant information. We had the opportunity to attend the manager’s reception in the penthouse suite with a large balcony. Rose and Jazz were excellent hostesses. This event was a really nice little bonus! We’ll definitely stop here again when traveling south.
The night we stayed at the Tapestry by Hilton in Florence, South Carolina there was a Managers Reception. It was organized by Jazz and Rose and they were exceptional hosts. We learned about the history of the historic property, which was redone to hold its charm from the late 19th century. We also learned about the town and the region. Can not say enough good things about our hosts and the wine and small plates provided hit the spot. It made the stay memorable and we plan to return on our trip north.
