When we checked in there was a long strand of hair in the bathroom. Also I don’t like the view, we were supposed to be given an ocean view but our room was facing the parking lot.

Terrible Smell
Pros:

The staff were friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, room 132 had a strong sewage odor that persisted the entire
5-day stay. There was a constant sewage smell I couldn't get rid of. I was told all dogs stay on the 1st floor, but saw dogs on other floors. I tried lowering the AC, using Febreze, and a plug-in, but the smell remained. I asked to switch rooms and was told the hotel was fully booked. Having to endure a sewage smell for 5 days with my dog was unacceptable. The hotel needs to address this plumbing/odor issue.

Great location for easy beach access
Pros:

Clean, comfortable spacious rooms. Great location! Large, well stocked breakfast buffet with typical hot items - eggs, oatmeal, waffle maker. I think you might need to ask for housekeeping service as ours was not cleaned but we saw the staff throughout the floor. Be sure to ask for a room with a window even if it’s to the parking lot. Some rooms are interior without a window. For a hotel on the water there is very limited access to the water as part of the hotel. It shares space with the Lighthouse Event space and the back deck seems to belong to them. Front desk staff is extremely pleasant and helpful!!

It's a good place
Pros:

We are usually an AirBnB family, so it was nice to stay in a hotel. The people were kind and helpful. Service was great. The common spaces were well kept and cleaned. The pool area was hot and uncomfortable. The 1st floor hallway had a funky smell, but 2nd floor where we stayed was pleasant. Our room was fresh, no stains or hair. The bathroom needs attention, the wallpaper and the shower tiles need replacing. The TV was difficult to connect to. Breakfast was excellent. Paying for parking was my biggest issue, $15. When I signed in they said because we pay for parking, breakfast is free. I signed up on the Hyatt's website with a promo free breakfast and 15% off. The sign in the elevator says free breakfast with stay. I'm sure you see the bad marketing.

Very disappointed in pricing

Over twenty of us booked rooms I booked months in advance and pd $340 friends booked weeks in advance and of 100 less why is that been coming there 5 years straight and pd for parking won’t be staying there anymore when we come back next year

Been coming 10 years, will keep coming back!
Pros:

Since I became a single father 10 years ago, my son and I made Hyatt Place Dewey Beach "our" getaway. We have been coming back every year for 10 years. This year we noticed the upgrades, and were impressed, as always with the quality, the cleanliness, and hospitality. We hope to come back for another 10 years to come

Beach Wedding at the Hyatt Dewey Beach
Pros:

Great location. So many great places to eat and get drinks. The room was fine it was clean and comfortable. It was a bit nosey but that was expected there is a bar right across the way, It didn't bother us at all. Overall, I had a great stay. I had just come from Ocean City, I was not impressed next time I would skip Ocean City and head right to Dewey Beach.

A nice oasis in wonderful Dewey Beach.
Pros:

Very nice hotel. Clean and well appointed rooms. Courteous staff. Nice amenities. My only slight knock was on the breakfast. Just okay at best but good in a pinch. Kids would be happy with the selection.

Do Dewey At Hyatt
Pros:

As usual, terrific place, great location. Can walk to beach and all spots on the strip. Lighthouse is great, good food and drinks and great ambiance. Parking at hotel is 15 a day now, that was not expected but it is what it is.
