The hotel did not have a rear access to the private beach- you needed to walk out the front door to get to it

Hyat place at dewey beach disappointing
Pros:

Hotel ideal location, but for the room price, poor customer service, room service questionable to poor. Room dirty. Breakfast crew was great! Trash never collected for 3 days...

Amazing service and so accommodating for a small child!
Pros:

Check in was EASY and EFFORTLESS
Location was spectacular!! Very chill environment/atmosphere with everything you need within a quick walk or short drive away! 10 minutes form the Rehoboth boards and shops also made this location PERFECT! We traveled with a small child so having access to the bay with restrooms so close by was phenomenal! Housekeeping was timely and made sure the room was so clean!
Electrical team was phenomenal when we wanted our room a little bit cooler due to our baby! Joe Jukosky and his staff/coworker Chris were so quick to help us with the temperature adjustment with no complaint!! So baby friendly any staff who saw me rocking son to sleep on the deck were very quick to offer me drinks or assistance if needed without being asked (name tags of those I noticed asking me if I needed anything were Loren and I believe another man named Joe)
The staff was SO pleasant to work with and welcomed us with smiles the whole stay!

Pros:

Love the pool and location. It is right between the bay and the ocean... Very clean and doesn't smell like mildew like other places ive stayed at here. Will definitely be coming back next year!

Overall nice
Pros:

First off the front desk staff were top notch, very responsive to requests and super polite. Loved the 24/7 coffee in the lobby as well. Was surprised by the $15 per day parking charge but the hotel garage was spacious and well lit.
We had an issue with the occupancy sensor not connecting to turn on the AC in our room and had to wait till the next day for maintenance to respond to our request so that was disappointing.
Warning to those who like privacy in the bathroom- the sliding door to ours while aesthetically pleasing had big gaps at the top and bottom that let any ahem bathroom sounds out. Terrible design.
I was also disappointed that the only grass area for dogs to use the bathroom was in the far back of the hotel which was quite a walk for our elderly dog. The entire front and side of the hotel had some kind of rock or rubberized chips that seemed to be intentionally unappealing to dogs - not exactly dog friendly.
Rooms, bathroom especially, had some areas of rust and dirty grout and could use a refresh.
Overall a nice hotel that could benefit from a few tweaks.

Best Stay for Family
Pros:

We are always happy with our stays at Hyatt Place Dewey. We have been going there since 2019. Our kids love it! We especially loved the upgraded two bedroom condo for being a Hyatt Discoverist member!!

Terrific but…
Pros:

Everything is great but know that if you are not in the condos (and you can’t if you travel with a dog) you cannot use the outdoor pool. Otherwise it is a wonderful hotel.

Amazing first time stay.
Pros:

We had an amazing stay. Location was perfect. Kayaks, tiki cruises, Jolly Trolley, beach cafes, 2 beaches (ocean and bay) at the door steps.
Breakfast included!

Dewey beach for the win
Pros:

Beautiful place to stay and right by everything. Beach, bay, nite life and food was an easy walk away. Can’t asked for anything more on vacation.
