Great location. Good food. friendly staff
Nothing
Not a lot.
Limited size room, poor hotel furnishings, unpleasant location, poor breakfast quality, not value for money.
Super nettes Personal, leckeres Frühstück. Es war toll, dass es direkt im Hotel ein gutes Restaurant gibt.
Alles war sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.
the staff
very much fawlty towers
Breakfast and location both OK.
Mould in the shower grouting.
No soap dish in the shower. Potentially dangerous to drop the soap on the floor but awkward to have to hold it all the time.
Bar/restaurant area rather gloomy.
Bar/restaurant staff rather inattentive. Having said one afternoon that I might have an evening meal I later decided that I would and went to the restaurant that evening and sat at a table. My presence was ignored by the two staff on duty and after 10 minutes I changed my mind and left without eating.
When I arrived I was handed what I think was called a “goodie” bag. It was misnamed it only contained a roll of Polo mints, a small bottle of water and a map of the area, none of which I wanted.
Central in the town and close to the station.
Cooked breakfast
Evening meals available
Nothing.
Clean and comfortable. Personable staff. Good breakfast and evening meals.
It can't be helped but we still struggle with getting suitcases up many flights of stairs.
Friendly service and an excellent dinner
Nothing of any significance comes to mind
It was a good base to visit that part of Cornwall
Hotel manager Andrew was excellent- extremely nice and helpful.
The city of St Austell itself has nothing to offer
Very clean
Friendly
The facilities were very good. Exceptionally comfortable bed with crisp white bedding.
Toiletries provided and a good standard.
The staff were very friendly and helpful letting us leave our bags on the last day so we could explore the area until we moved on.
The food was filling, delicious and well presented. The breakfast had a large choice and set us up for the day.
Very close to the bus and train links and St Austell brewery. Although it is up hill. ( Note, the brewery will be closing for refurbishment in a couple of weeks)
A visit to the church next door is well worth it . Check out the font and the golden dove from above.
The walk along the river to Pentenwan beach is also a must.
Being an old building the upper floors are out of kilter lol so don't think you have had too much to drink.
Excellent location for touring. Free Private car park a bonus
Stairs were very narrow, but to be expected in such a historic building.
Location was excellent
Steep stairs to rooms. Very hard to get suitcases up with no help offered. Also when departing to the nearby station/bus station, you need to get a cab. Fortunately one came on time.
Gemütliches Zimmer in einem gemütlichen Hotel
Es war sehr beengt im Zimmer mit Reisetasche und Koffer
