The location of this hotel is excellent, right across from Reading Terminal Market (try the dark chocolate marshmallows and the curried salmon!). There is also a Trader Joe’s grocery store nearby, as well as plenty of other stores, restaurants, bars, and a movie theater. Grandma’s Philly is a particularly good restaurant in the area. The Pennsylvania Convention Center is also just a short walk away. The area is very tourist-friendly, and I saw plenty of police cars and officers patrolling during the day. I always felt safe walking around the neighborhood. The room I stayed in was spacious and had a comfortable sofa, a large microwave and refrigerator, as well as plates and utensils. There was also a large electronic safe, big enough for a large laptop, and a useful desk. There were plenty of power outlets near the bed, including a USB-A port. The Wi-Fi connection was good. The room has its own air-conditioning system, and you can adjust the temperature yourself, with both cooling and heating available. Another very convenient feature is the 24-hours small laundry room on the ground floor, which is accessible only to hotel guests. You can wash and dry your clothes for a very reasonable price (USD 2.25 per cycle), paying either by tapping a credit card or using an app. The bathroom was also nice, with a very good shower and strong water pressure. One minor drawback is that the shower has a single control, so the water temperature and pressure cannot be adjusted independently: turning it further toward hot also increases the water pressure. Overall, the room was spacious and well equipped, and the location is extremely convenient for visiting central Philadelphia or attending events at the Convention Center.
The breakfast is quite limited, sliced cheese, sausages, breakfast potato, a few options for instant coffee (including decaf), yogurt, and some fruit, such as oranges, pears, or bananas. There was only machine-dispensed juice, not fresh juice. There were no gluten-free bread options available. The listing stated that a USD 250 damage deposit would be required, but the hotel actually charged me USD 350. I was never given an explanation for the additional USD 100. The deposit was, however, fully refunded after checkout. My biggest disappointment with this hotel, and the main reason for my low rating, was what happened at checkout. I checked out at around 10:30 a.m., well before the 11:00 a.m. checkout time, and asked the front desk attendant for a printed receipt that I could use for reimbursement. She told me that she could not provide one because I had booked and paid in advance through Booking.com. I found this surprising, but I did not argue about it at the time. Later, while at the airport, I requested a receipt through Booking.com. I received a folio showing a zero balance, but, strangely, it listed an incorrect checkout time in the afternoon. Whether related to this or not, the hotel charged me an additional USD 195.18 that same afternoon, even though my stay had already been paid in advance and I had checked out on time that morning. I tried several times to contact the hotel, both through Booking.com messages and by email, asking for an explanation of this additional charge. I never received a reply or any justification for it. This was extremely disappointing. I have stayed at many hotels booked and paid for in advance through Booking.com and have never experienced an unexplained additional charge like this. More troubling than the charge itself was the complete lack of communication and transparency afterward. For this reason, I would not stay at this hotel again, and this experience has made me reluctant to book with this brand in the future.
This was a beautiful place, rooms were spacious and clean and comfortable, very nice place to stay; the location was incredible. The staff were very friendly.
I liked everything.
Spacious rooms - we booked one room with 2 Queen beds and a King bed suite. Both also had a pull out couch. Kitchenettes with large enough fridges. The lobby/bfast area is welcoming, nice gym and laundry facilities. The location was wonderful, walking distance to everything we wanted to see, and there are buses and subways trains/tram stations near by. The Reading Terminal market is across the street, as well as many restaurants, a Trader Joe's and you can also get fruits and vegetables in Chinatown nearby.
The hotel is clean, but there are maintenance issues that should be fixed. For example - bathroom doors that did not lock (and one wobbly lock that was held by only one screw); a continuously beeping phone that we disconnected after an attempt to fix failed - but no one tried to fix it in the days after; and - on our last day there was no hot water, probably a bioler issue (we heard the same complaint from other guests). At the front desk they offered me a plunger to solve the problem... and the maintenance person that checked in on it said he'll come back but never did, nor updated us.
The location was good and the staff was very kind.
Sadly everything felt outdated and everywhere there was a weird smell of cheap cleaning products and dust.
Goede locatie en nette kamer
Het ontbijt was echt verschrikkelijk slecht. Geen mogelijkheid om een beetje gezond te ontbijten. Weinig vers/onbewerkt eten.

staff rude and incompetent (wrong information, unable to communicate), thermostat and phone in the room broken, gym barely functional
Lokalizacja, dobre śniadanie, pralnia, siłownia, miły personel. Pokoje z wyposażonym zapleczem kuchennym. Pokój zgodny z opisem.
Brak odpowiedzi na pytanie w sprawie zwrotu kaucji. Pobyt rozpoczęliśmy w hotelu 9 lipca. Do dzisiaj nie otrzymałam zwrotu kaucji i odpowiedzi.
Location amd staff
Only cleaned room once but ok
Lovely location and rooms are in pretty decent shape. However, its unacceptable that I can't find staff there. Nobody answered the phone during several attempts during my stay. Nobody at the front desk (very early hour, but still should be able to find somebody). Called later to let them know I left and it took almost 15 minutes to get a person on the phone. Its too bad because I love the location, but I wouldn't recommend staying there.
The location is perfect.
The noise at this location is a lot! It never seems to stop. Also the cleanliness was an issue.
Great hotel with the friendliest and most helpful staff ever. Everything is walkable from this hotel, the Convention Center, Reading Market, Shopping District, Liberty Hall and restaurants.
Super clean with large room and free breakfast. I highly recommend.
I loved that we right right across from reading terminal market!
The beds were not comfy at all and I woke up with a very sore back.
